armbarvictim
As long as his hands hit Brocks chin very,very,hard.....I can then forgive him for dropping his hands......but only then.
Taint_Choke
i can name another fighter that keeps there hands low.. ANDERSON SILVA ! alot of fighters keep there hands low for a reason its a stratagey to get the other fighter to think they can land a punch on them and then BAM ! a counter comes flying in and the other fighter has MUSHY FACE . Superbeast41
Ummmm.... I don't recall Carwin being well known for his counter punching Technique. He is a bit more "HULK SMASH" with some technical striking abilities sprinkled in. I think his mentality is more along the lines of "You can't knock me out, but I can knock you out!!" Lets hope he is right...

flipmodollas
Keeping your hands low can also be about trying to stay loose instead of tense and ready to explode thats one reason silva is a good CP but I think carwin keeps his hands low from time to time because he has faith in his chin maybe he knows somthin others don't about him self. Remice
I think Carwin keeps his hands low because he's trying to conserve energy. I mean he's a big guy, 260+ and who knows what his stamina is going to be like in the later rounds, especially against Lesnar. I believe that Carwin needs a first round knock out or he's going to gas. I mean its gotta take a toll holding up those quad x size hands lol. WarBringer
I think he does it to give the impression that his guard is down. Could be a lot of reasons really. I do it to un-tense real quick but I don't leave them down as long as him..

Rampageisabeast
Brock has HORRIBLE stand up it doesn't matter Herring broken face. Couture caught standing. Horrible stand-up. No doubt his ground game is his strength. But, I mean come on? Hater much? Horrible? No.
Cornish
Being able to hit people doesnt mean you have good standup. I would say that Brocks standup is poor personally. I also believe that his chin is suspect and Id like to see how he reacts when somebody catches him. Carwin would certainly test his chin. Carwin keeping his hands down would in my opinion be beneficial against Brock as no doubt Brock will try and take the fight to the floor. The lower Carwins hands - the less distance thay have to travel to defend takedowns.
