I'm in the air on Nog Vs Couture. If couture keeps it standing, Couture. But there's always the chance of it hitting the ground and Nog pulling off the submission. Tough one.

Marquardt & Maia I'll go with Marquardt. But again, always the possibility Maia can take an arm. Unfortunately for him I think Marquardt is good enough on the ground to keep himself out of submissions.

agreed with all you said.. except idk i dnt want marquardt to win like i REALLY wanna c maia vs silva bcuz if marquardt wins then he will try and stand with silva... then we ALL know whats gona happen. so i think maia will really try a subbision and prob get one off idk he is like PERFECT with his subbisions. i hope he doesnt miss time one tonight. or get to relying on a subbision.

I've already made my picks in another thread, but I'd like to say that the Maia vs. Marquardt fight is the most intriguing fight for me tonight.

Will Maia keep his submission streak going?

Will Marquardt blemish Maia's perfect record with a loss?

Can Maia take Marquardt down?

Can Marquardt keep out of Maia's guard.

This and more on the next episode of Marquardt and Maia plus 8.

I pick Marquardt via TKO strikes. :D

Given that i'm 10-1 since UFC 96 *toots own horn* with picking winners in the so-called "headline" fights(damn you Brock Lesnar :P). I'm gonna go on record for this event.

Of the 2 "headline" fights I got:

Couture winning by unanimous decision

Maia winning by some various sub in the 2nd

Only time will tell though, btw anyone feel free to flame the hell outta me if either of the fights goes horribly in the other direction than picked, I always love a good discussion. :D

couture/nog is a really hartd on to call... it could go either way.. but if i had to choose id choose Nog, just because he looks like hes in incredible shape, so maybe we'll see the old nog from pride tonite.. and on nate/maia ill say nate, i dont even thing maia will have time to try to bring the fight to the ground... it will be a quick knockout

Couture (Unanimous decision) - He has been an old man since his UFC debut and has been stomping kids.

Silva (KO round 1) - Jardine is the most overrated fighter. His big "wins" were split decisions. The only decision in this fight is which one of Silva's fists are going to land the KO punch.

Leben (Submission round 2) - Leben was a crazy brawler before, now Leben with roid rage? Thats scary! (although I do admit, he is a VERY sloppy fighter).

Marquardt (TKO round 2) - Nate is a monster and Maia has never fought someone even close to his level of skill. I see Maia falling on his back repeatedly like Leites did in the Silva fight.

Vera (TKO round 1) - If you have seen all of Vera's heavyweight fights and still think he will lose to some big crappy Polish guy then you are dumb AND dumber.

Undercard:

I predict that if the undercard fights don't go to decision then there will be either a knock out or submission. (Madden Philosophy 101 is flawless)
