etrain1406051393
Anybody have any comments on UFC 102 results? The Couture vs. Nogueira fight was a battle. I'm glad to see Nogueira back to himself. http://bumpyknuckle.com/2009/08/30/ufc-102-results/
BigGunn
Yeah def. best fight of the night NOG looked as good as i can every remember him looking. Couture vs. Nogueira lived up to the billing, Dean of mean and Silva, good fight even thought did go the way i want it to but. But Nate M and D Mai was a lil disappointing when there's a good match up and i looking for a lil bit of a fight and you have a flash knock out i feel a lil let down, Thats weird huh? Inconnux
Couture vs Nog was an epic battle... as good as Forrest vs Bonnar. Nonstop action and heart by both fighters... Nog won the decision, but Randy has nothing to be ashamed of... awesome fight.
fightpastor
Was disappointed by the Jardine loss. If only that guy would stop having his occasional off nights. Looks great against Rampage and gets trashed by Silva. Marquardt knocked Maia back to reality. I haven't understood the Maia infatuation. It reminded me of everyone's infatuation with Bisbing before he got koed. www.fightpastor.com

Exodus9mm
Wow, excellent night of fights. Nogueira Couture was epic, and I'm glad Minotauro is back on track. Had he been at this healthy form against Mir, Mir would've gotten annihilated. Couture showed incredible heart and he competes better than most guys half his age. Jardine yet again proved his inconsistant nature, losing poorly after a strong start. He's destined for middle of the road status and will never be a champion. Silva didn't show anything spectacular, and in my opinion will never be a contender. Nate Marquardt did exactly what I knew he would, only 10 times faster. Apparently, Maia thought his best bet was to trade with a guy much stronger and accurate. Night night. Reality check. Nate should fight Hendo and the winner gets Silva. Big congrats to Nate, most impressive. Chris Leben looked piss poor at best - overweight, sluggish and completely aloof. One of his worst fights for sure. Rosholt looked quite good in all respects, finising Leben with a great sub. Brandon Vera and Krystoff was pretty lame. Vera looked identical to all of his other fights, and shows no signs of going anywhere. Krystoff looked sluggish and without a gameplan, and needs to regroup. I don't see either of these guys doing anything in terms of title shots in the near future. That HGH using dude who knocked out Tim Hague is a knob with a big mouth. Although impressive, he needs about 4 more fights before I'll comment on his future. He's certainly big and athletic and if he's the real deal, could easily contend with brutes like Lesnar and Carwin. I see him getting Velasquez in his next fight. Overall a much better card than I thought it would be, capped of by an epic main event. Solid night of fights without a doubt.
lanke
What a great ambassador Randy Couture is for the sport! You gotta love the guy when he survives 2 subs and 2 knock downs... You can never count him out. Great performance by Nog. I don't know if I wanna see Randy v. Fedor like many others have said... I don't think it is a fight Randy could win, although I'm sure he would show great heart if he could avoid getting KO'd. I was really impressed with Nate's performance too! That guy is a great sportsman and he doesn't need to trash talk like 90% of his workmates do on a regular basis. I really hope he fights Hendo... Could be the first time we see Hendy get knocked out... Chris Leben is a fat lumix who needs to go and play badminton or some other equally physical sport. Why he ever got a UFC contract is beyond me... I mean he has knocked out Swick and run away from a rematch but since then what has he achieved? Let him go and fight in Gladiator challenge or in the playground of some kindergarten but please don't put him on any more UFC fight cards... Please! Jardine KTFO. No big surprise, that guy needs a new gameplan. He won'?t be a serious contender until he gets one.

MrDane
Gabriel Gonzaga vs Chris Tuchscherer, well that guy must have 3 balls now, but they are big ones for sure, impossible to say anything else about the fight, that inside legkick decided the outcome. Randy Couture, he didnt look bad, Nog, just looked better, but I doubt that Randy will sign a new contract with the UFC, but who knows. Jardine vs Silva, good strike from Silva, but the fight didnt last long enough to get much info from it, however, Jardine must be starting to feel the pressure to win. Chris Leben, looked slow and didnt seem to have much to bring to the fight other then that heavy left hand and thats just not enough. Rosholt on the other hand looked hungry and had a good gameplan, nice finish too. It looked like Leben was about to tap, then decided that he could use a nap :-) Nate Marquardt, nice striking damn, not much else to say about that fight, it was over so fast, good sportsmanship from 'The Great'. Brandon Vera vs Krystoff, Krystoff looked overmatched and Vera looked like he didnt want to risk to much, so the fight was not that interesting. But its hard to blame him, Krystoff does have heavy hands. Tim Hague vs Todd Duffee, 7 seconds not much to say, ouch!

Jardine is a decent fighter but by no means is he a title contender he isn't good enough to beat top contenders... I give him props though he lasted longer in the Thiago Silva fight than I thought he would Silva's a animal and there was no way Jardine would have won that fight and if Jardine had a "off night" LoL doubtful even at his best he wouldn't do much better... Looks great against Rampage and gets trashed by Silva. Marquardt knocked Maia back to reality. I haven't understood the Maia infatuation. It reminded me of everyone's infatuation with Bisbing before he got koed. www.fightpastor.com To be fair Maia is just about the best in the world at BJJ. Bisping isn't the 100th best in the world at anything (except maybe getting hit hard in the face by Dan Henderson). I was disappointed as I was really looking forward to a fascinating fight. Props to Nate though. He moves on to a fight with Dan I guess whilst Maia will avoid strikers for a while... Loved to see Nog back. Showed that the Mir fight was just a blip. T. Silva looked as scary as any current LHW (except Lyoto of course) -just compare his demolition job with Rampage's recent effort. I can't imagine any LHW wanting to meet him next. Rosholt did a good job on Leben (God Leben is ugly - are 'red-headed stepchildren' genes big in Oregon or something?) Brandon was just too good for the Experiment. OK to watch though. A bit like Franklin's last fight to be honest Ed Herman was just another red-headed Oregonian who lost... Gonzaga does get nut-kick of the decade but it should have been a no-contest. Duffee looked interesting - a young guy with one-punch knockout power (especially one who looks like Ivan Drago!) is always welcome in the HW division and although Tim Hague is a nice bloke and all, if the UFC HW division is going to be taken seriously, he really shouldn't be in it...
