Alpha_Omega
Who said they were going to strike with him? marquardt is a strong wrestler with submission skills and Takase showed what could happen if a strong wrestler with submission skills got to a dominant position and Marquardt is much better than Takase. Dan Henderson has a chance at beating anybody. /thread

And what Forrest should've said was "He makes mediocre fighters like me, look like 3rd tier jabronis who couldn't headline a card in Finland" lol

If Shogun takes out Machida, maybe we'd see a Silva/Shogun fight, but I don't see this happening.

Dan Henderson is a true champion and a legendary fighter. He's tough as nails, he won't be broken, he's used to the weight cut this time around (which is what hurt him in the first fight with Silva) and is determined. I think you're underestimating him significantly. Marquardt got an early stand up in their fight which I disagreed with. And may it be noted, Anderson is one of my favorite fighters. In the words of forrest griffin "he makes good fighters look BAD" and thats what he will do if there is a rematch! I've been telling kids this since day 1. No one in the MW division can even hold a candle up to my boy Anderson. He cleared out the division, beat everyone in his path, in dominating fashion. He has nothing left to prove at MW. Any fight at MW from here on out is just a waste of a fight. He has bigger challenges @ LHW and HW. Well I should say more of a challenge at LHW and HW. He'll walk through both divisions.. And if our boy Lyoto wasnt the LHW champ, Anderson would be the first ever to hold 3 titles in 3 different weight classes. No questions asked. I think Anderson will be abit more cautious of it than in most of his fights but if you put Hendo against anyone he has a chance of knocking them out cold in a heart beat. Would be an interesting fight no matter what. My money will be on Anderson though.
guti
its going to be hard for anyone to beat anderson silva, on paper i dont see nate or henderson having a chance to beat him... HOWEVER anderson silva said it himself , " SOMEONE IS GOING TO BEAT ME SOONER OR LATER" ... so yeah silva is not unbeatable its going to take a lot but it may happen

Plus he is a long time Olympic caliber wrestler, he has been adding and cutting weight for many many years. This is why wrestlers for a time were dominant in the UFC until all the other camps caught up to the wrestlers weight cutting techniques. I honestly would like to see both these guys get a rematch if anything just to see if Silva is as good as he seems.

Yeah, ok. That wasn't me who made that excuse for him it was Dan Henderson who said that the weight cut hurt him.
UndisputedKing
I honestly believe Marquardt has a better chance at beating Siva then Henderson does. The only thing i see Henderson having over Marquardt is a HARD,WILD RIGHT HAND! I think all around Marquardt has better BJJ, better stand up (not just Hendersons left, left big right), better cardio, and i believe he has an all around better ground game. Some might argue Hendersons a former Olympic Wrestler bla, bla, bla, but so far i've seen a way better ground game by Marquardt in the octagon then by Henderson! Henderson might have been that guy in pride but that was many moons ago. Maquardt vs. Henderson = Marquardt for the W Besides they both deserve a shot at the title. Henderson deserves it just for the extra shot he threw at Bispings mouth! Marquardt has definantly earned it!
