The_Q
he looked a lot better.....but come on. beating a 46 yr old Couture does not make you a top contender for the belt. he has to fight Mir again, maybe the loser of the Carwin/Lesnar fight as well....then a shot at the belt. 1fan4fun
I'd like to see Minotauro avenge his loss to Mir. However, it's not that important to me. N0G looked great last night. Here's how I see the UFC HW top-ten picture after last night: 1) Brock Lesnar 2) Frank Mir 3) Minotauro Noguerra 4) Shane Carwin 5) Cain Velasquez 6) Randy Couture 6) Gabrielle Gonzaga 7) Cheik Kongo 8) Mirko Filopovic 9) Junior Dos Santos 10) Heath Herring Anybody see much problem with this assessment? Sure you can mix it up a bit, but the principle top 5 feel about right to me. I sure am interested to see how Crocop deals with Dos Santos. Also very interested in Lesnar vs Carwin, Mir vs Kongo. Did Velasquez get a replacement fight after being nerfed out of the Carwin fight?

Would love to see that again. Heres hoping that Cro Cop wins... I do think that dos santos will though, we will see though. I would like to see Nog avenge his loss to Mir though. He didnt look himself in that fight due to that infection he had. And come on man, that infection he had obviously had an effect on him, he looked terrible in that fight. Infact i cant recall Nog ever looking that bad in any of his fights. He looked completely rejuvinated against Randy - i dont care if Randy is 'past it' or not - im assessing Nog's performance, Nog's movement and speed, Nog's focus, Im assessing Nog lol, NOT RANDY. Infact i would go as far to say that Nog is 3x the fighter that Mir is. AND past accomplishments DEFINETLY mean alot.. You cannot deny that .. come on.... its just stupid to think otherwise. Nog is still right at the top of the game. And IMO he will be HW champion again in the near future. Next time he fights Mir, he will be 100% and will dominate Mir. He is just a far better fighter than Mir IMO. However his next fight wont be against Mir, that will possibly be later next year. If Nog wins his next fight, he gets a shot at the title. I can pretty much guarentee that. Id bet anything on it anyway lol. Nog isnt in my top5 fav fighters of all time... But i respect his ability a hell of alot. And most importantly, he has PROVED his ability over and over and over again. You cannot deny that. He still has it, and he will be back challenging for the title very soon. Carwin and Valesquez have a win each over decent top fighters. And Nog... ill just say he has a hell of alot of wins over world class MMA fighters.
