TigerChamp
thats what i believed. loved it, probably one of the best of the year. vera fight was very boring, he was outworking krystoff in the clinch and it was just a grappling match the whole way through. unfortunately this was the only fight i could predict the winner. the rest i had going either way. bummer nothing really happened in this fight, krystoff is a mean dude though and got outmuscled. thats about it. other then that, it had everything. randy never fails to amaze me, even if he loses. what heart he shown for fighting out of three highly probable submission's. what a warrior. he isn't going anywhere anytime soon. this definitely has nogueira more focused and confident determined then anything. this fight definitely lived up to all the hype and expectations, and anybody who didn't enjoy watching that epic battle is watching the wrong sport. jake roshalt impressed me. i didn't think he had enough to do it. i overlooked him to begin with, and he brought some good wrestling techniques into the ufc and put on a display, after getting his butt kicked for 2 rounds, managed to pull off the upset. ref stopped it a little late, no biggie though, jake transitioned himself very well to set up that choke. i expect he was training for no less then a maneuver like that as for todd duffy, nobody really knew who he was. well we all do now!! the guy looks built like a beast. he finished the fight just as fast as it took bruce buffer to say his name pretty much. this one will be remembered for a while. maia/marquart - either nate gets tapped out or demian gets knocked out. they were testing each others range, maia was setting up for a left kick, and got rocked badly. amazing knockout. great sportsmanship to nate for giving it the extra second and not delivering the unnecessary punishment and for being so unorthadox with his striking and posture, jardine got what was coming. the chimpanzee approach just doesn't seem to be working for him. he's not a bad fighter and still is up on the ladder in my books, im just disappointed. both keith and chris leben were both swinging blindly tonight and i think they both wouldve had more success if they just had a little more discipline and technique. just my thoughts on the fights anyways. i really enjoyed it, its hard not to. we all got what we wanted to see one way or another. my reguards to randy and minotauro for doing so well. i knew that fight was going to be great, it definitely lived up to all my expectations of what i want to see in a fight. this one will one day be a classic example of what this sport is all about. great fights.. ultimatefightingchamp
I enjoyed the show but I felt a bit disappointed with some guys, specially Jardine and Demian. The Minotauro vs Couture fight was epic.. I'm glad that the ref didn't stop the fight although he should.. Couture got really rocked but he deserved to finish the fight. Vera vs Krystof was ****ing boring
TigerChamp
i wasnt that surprised that jardine got put away. thiago's striking is devastating and flailing your arms around all over the place hoping not to get caught is not a good gameplan against a vicious and accurate striker. jardine always keeps his unusual approach. thats what done him in. if he really wants to be unorthodox and throw his next opponent off his game, the simple most effective way for a guy like keith jardine to do this would be to simply keep his hands up. that would really confuse any opponent that trains for him. Daytona1
and it dont help having a glass chin It makes no sense, he gets knocked out by less premier fighters, yet goes the distance with Rampage, and Chuck who i consider knockout artist. But gets knocked out by Wandy (in decline) Thiago (well, is impressive), and Houston Alexander.

ultimatefightingchamp
I was expecting Jardine to lose, just not as easy as that because as mentioned here before, he went far against rampage.

Manho
Vera wasnt all that bad' date=' he was clearly picking his opponent apart[/quote'] True. You can't afford to toy around with Krystoff just like what Brandon did to his previous opponent. Maybe it did not deliver an exciting match like what we all hope for, but for Vera a victory is a victory, right???
KeaRz
I really enjoyed as well. One of the best UFC of this year without a doubt !
BartKrol
I agree, what a great card! HW fights were very entertaining! Couture and Nog showed that they are both great champions (the best fight this year in my opinion). Thiago and Vera climbed the LHW one step each (good job by both of them). A great night for all fighters, a bad one for one referee.

Ares9139
My viewing was a bit ruined by weak signal but I enjoyed it. the Vera/Soszynski was a bit dull, but the Leben/Rosholt fight was entertaining enough, however I worried the card was going to be a bit lackluster. Then Marquadt knocked Maia's ****ing head off in 21 seconds and all that changed. Jardine was looking alright until he got caught and knocked out, which suprised me. The main event was superb. Weirdly I was rooting for Nogueira but, going into the fight, I thought he wasn't going to win, in fact I hadn't really considered the possibility, I thought Couture's wrestling and clinch work would neutralise Nogueira, but it wasn't to be. Nogueira impressed the hell out of me and that match alone was worth me staying up to watch it in the UK. UFC 106 currently has a great card, so I'm expecting that to be another great one.
