Zrod13
I thought the Vera fight last night was pretty cool. Vera showed everybody that he's matured as a LHW fighter. He picked apart the polish man and looked like he had alot more gas left in the tank. I think if he is matched up with the right style of fighter he will put on an exciting show. My first thought after last nights fight was Vera VS Jon Jones. Curious about any other "realistic" match ups..
HappyHamer
He was originally scheduled to fight Hamill at 102, but Hamill pulled out with an injury so I hope this fight happens next.

I'm sure this fight will go down and I cant wait for it. Hamil has been looking dangerous lately.
MCmmaOorah
I think it's about time Vera starts fighting the top 5 guys of lhw. He shouldn't have to fight Hamil, because he pulled out of the fight and Vera got another win. Maybe Vera vs Forrest next?

Griffin) and Silva made him look really bad.....
UFC_BOXER
Vera vs Forrest would be a decision. I cant stand Vera's fights...am I the only one? He is boring and so are his fights.
Exodus9mm
Vera vs Forrest would be a decision.I cant stand Vera's fights...am I the only one? He is boring and so are his fights. Nope, I'm with ya. Vera's performance last night was mediocre at best, and looked like a glorified sparring session. He's had about 4 other fights that looked identical. I personally don't know why he keeps getting such high praise when his game has plateaud.
joshdfs
A. Silva. I knda figured he would have owned Hamill anyway. A fight with Silva would answer tons of questions about both fighters!
TigerChamp
i really did not enjoy the vera/krystoff one at all. apparently joe and mikey didn't seem to either. i could tell they were getting bored of it. krystoff got worked, yet nothing really even happened in the fight. i think everybody was just happy when it was over, or that's what it seemed like to me anyways. just my opinion though. as for whats next for the truth, im not sure. i really don't think he's quite ready to call out brock or lyoto. he does look alot better at light heavyweight though. maybe he just needs time to adjust. veneratio
I think he was looking pretty good. I agree it wasn't the most exciting fight but Krzysztof Soszynski is a big test, he has been looking great and to win a decision over him is pretty impressive. I know Vera would have preferred the knock-out. I would have liked to have seen him get Krzysztof in the clinch throw a few more knees and also break free and unleash more kicks but oh well. I don't know who is next for Vera, but he's slowly but surely moving up the food chain in a tough weight class and Krzysztof is a tough guy to beat. I still worry about Vera's size, I know he can beat and knock out big guys and that size doens't matter too much but still. Though I noticed Vera had definitelty toned up a bit more for that fight. Paul20az
Brandon Vera vs Thiago Silva would be an extremely interesting fight. I would also like to see Ryan Bader vs Jon Jones and Rich Franklin vs Forrest Griffin.
Paul20az
Krzysztof should fight Keith Jardine to see who stays in the top tier of Light Heavyweights for now.

cripplerfan1988
Did everyone know that Soszynski only got paid $8,000 for the fight. The only fighters who got paid less were Hague and Catone. That is slanderous!
BESERKER
.... That was another flat performance by Vera ... so thats 3 boring wins over Reese Andy, Mike Patt, & the Experiment & 3 losses to Sylvia, Werdum, & Jardine . Its very difficult to get excited about this guy, he obviously wants to stand & throw from the outside with medium power at best & occaisionally deploy Muy-Thai ... maybe put him in with Sugar or Thiago ? Vera isn't worthy of a shot at Silva yet. Vera needs to prove that he is dedicated before anyone should believe anything outta his camp. I love Vera but he is a little to into himself.
