Marquardt on ESPN again

Sportscenter gave Marquardt the #6 spot on their top plays, and now on the show on ESPN2, Sportsnation. They have a segment called 3 tears, and they gave the 3 tears to Demian Maia for getting knocked out by Marquardt. Showed the clip, then talk for just a bit about how MMA is bit more regulated then Boxing. I thought they showed the good side of UFC and the sport of MMA. Just another reason why MMA is bigger and better then boxing.

It's great to see a power house in broadcasting like ESPN showcase some of the better points in mma. God knows other sources just love to dwell on & try to negatively embellish the sport to demonize it.

The problem as I see it is the demographic. The older fight fans tend to lean towards boxing and fail to acknowledge mma as anything but a bloodsport. These same people include the closed minded politicians who give our sport the negative press and refuse to pass regulations allowing mma into many markets. It's getting better but still frustratingly slow.
