lilfel
Its a good game and its worth buying. I like having those chess matches with a good player weather on the ground or standing up. I have a ballin record in rank but i fell my game has diminished a little bit and im not as good lol, Ever since that update. record: 330-53 level: 97 1dnf Shogun all day!!! MachokeURchamp
I enjoy it when I'm not matched up against some lamer who just throws superman punches and Head Kicks... Then precede to call me a noob when I continually get the full mount and GNP them, or submit them from the bottom with a Kimura. I found the career mode rather shallow with the only interesting parts being the actual fights..and I ended up dreading having to spar and do training camps to get my skills up. TigerChamp
hey i was only level 56 and my record is 980-313 or pretty close to it..that is before i got red rings. still waiting to hear from purolator, the game got too easy so i started giving the new guys a chance. they started beating me up real good and i dropped 30 levels. thats what i get for helping em learn the game. shouldve just went to work and slaughtered them, thats the only way i ever got good was getting beat down myself. i guess i tend to get drunk and make the mistake of being a good sport and giving the new guy a chance. only play online is a blast when ya get matched up with other people who know what theyre doing. i got the ugliest created fighter you can ever make and im damn proud of it. Ares9139
I got fed up with online play after five people IN A ROW pulled out on me after they gassed and I submitted them. As for the offline game, I very much enjoy exhibition matches but career mode is a bit too time consuming when it comes to training up your fighter, sparring is tedious and the fights take too long to get to. Still a great game though.
Ryan741
I really struggle with the ground game, cant get it at all, even after doing the training etc.
nufcmickey
Firstly I would agree with the guy at the top saying this thread should be stickied, Just makes sense and brings it closer to the real thing even if it is just chatting with other like minded fans on the forum, But its a great idea. Maybee even give the game its own section on this website. Now im getting allsorts of ideas for the future game/s. In next game they could have a video editor and photo editor just like the EA games with Fifa 09, Fight Night and so on. I aint played in a while as FN4 came out and was too many quiters online on UFC. Now that theyve fixed it Im gonna get back on, I tryed it last week and felt weird using buttons after getting used to the stick on FN4. I considered myself quite good at it before aswell but like some1 mentions above people used to moan and quit when they got mounted and id get nasty messages, even after they had quit. It took me a while to get the ground game down but once youve got it you gain a huge advantage. Whenever anyone winged about being mounted id tell them I can get out of the mount alot of the time so why carnt you ? BJJ is always a good discipline to use because the fight 9/10 goes to the ground so its will always come in handy. Hopefully I will get to meet one of the good guys from here online pretty soon. P.S Another idea guys, If they could record online fights they could put together UFC events, Like edit them so it looks like a real show. Call it UFC Undisputed 1, 2, 3 and so on. Put them on here. Hows that sound guys ? I also like nothing more than a good good technical fight with someone thats good too.
gtp
I just barely bought the game and im siked to see a thread! Please make this sticky! Anyway, im making an online profile specifically for this game, and Im looking for people (cuz there has to be girls that play this too, not just guys) to mess around with and maybe exibition ppvs before they happen. Though I have noticed that a lot of people arent on the game. Look at my 155 top 3 for specifics. Anyway, im gonna make my profile: gtpime. Anybody up to teaching this guy some stuff? Probably not, but thought I would ask anyway.

Ares9139
Oh yeah' date=' If I decide to create, wich I hate, what discipline should I give him? HELP ME OUT MAN! HELP ME OOOUUUT![/quote'] Depends what you're using him for. Boxing is usually the best one for career mode because it means you can throw heavy punches before going to the training camps. If it's just for exhibition, then Kickboxing, because the superman punch is a great tool. BJJ is best on the ground pretty much because it's the only discipline which allows you to be offensive on your back.

I noticed it like a lil over a week ago. Yeah my level should be higher but most of my losses are against people with a lower level than me and u know what that does ur level and its usually 2 or 3 losses in a row 4 me b4 i get some streaks going. wing_chun
ive got a coulple questions for the game pro's here, have the game and stoped playing online because of the ps quitters, but am now working some fighters. The only problem ive had is how to block transitions, sometimes that game makes no sense, ive got most of the bjj worked out, just struggling with reversals and blocking transitions. Can anyone here help? E.g. some guys seem to be able to get the mount and just block every reversal attempt, and just pound you out, is it just flawed or am i missing something? wing_chun
BJJ has rubber guard and the rubber guard to mount transition is my fav move. Havent seen all the judo stuff yet. Still dont know how to block transitions? anyone? Some guys you come across have this down pat (might come down to strength). I'm wondering if its those turbo controllers? Still dont know how to block transitions? anyone? Some guys you come across have this down pat (might come down to strength). I'm wondering if its those turbo controllers? To block someone's transitions you hold the right stick to the left and that usually stops them from moving, but also prevents you from improving your position. Also, flicking the right stick left and right when they're about to attempt to transition can reverse it, although this is hard to do. If you want a full list of stuff you can do and how, go to the pause menu and look at the controls. As for your question about the mount, if you can't escape then click right stick and try and catch their punches. If succesful it'll pull the opponent down and you can control their head and it's easier to work a better position. Judo is good, but unlike BJJ, it can only work offensivly from full guard defense and mount defense. BJJ can reverse all positions from your back. Ares9139
if you are gonna create a fighter id go with Muay thai and judo that covers everything Problem with Muay Thai is that your punching isn't great. Striking is better all round with kick boxing in my opinion. Strong punches, kicks and you can still work from the clinch, just without knees to the head. UCFMRE
I totally love this game. It is really fun to play when you have a bunch of friends over. Nothing is better than knocking out your friend in a game. I haven't played the online but the career gets pretty boring. You do get better from playing it though. Nautilous
Have been playing this game for about 1,5 month now and i love it, i would although love it if they would do an update and remove "former" UFC fighters like Eddy Sanches in LHW and add some of the new exiting fighters, like the UF 9 competitors, the online mode is ok, but i'm having problems with people having the ISP of a siberian dog breader in Russia and some fights are just impossible to fight cause hes got 2 seconds to react to my punches/kick/clinch/takedown attempts Overall i give this game a 4/5 due to the fact its out of date and some work could be done about timing and speed in fights. kman747
I like the game overall but the problems are: - Took way too long to patch up problems with quitters - Quitters still quit -Glitches (unbeatable knees, automatic stand ups) - Acheivements are ridiculously hard - Career gets extremely boring after you beat once or twice. - Fighters NEED to be updated. FiEnD
Alright, heres the deal. I feel this is thread is good enough to be stickied at the top of the forum. I made this thread so fans of MMA and the game could come together and discuss their games and possibly exchange Gamer Tags and play against each other. Maybe starting up a friendly competition/tournement between members of the forum. I feel that the mods ignored my request because they feel this thread is just another on the list that will eventually fade and is not worthy of being stickied. Help me get this thread stickied by rating it. At the top, right below where you can scan through the thread pages you can click an option to rate this thread.
