Forrest Griffin says he's more motivated than ever to fight

he is pumped for the fight. he is training with todd duffee too.

He doesn't sound pumped to me! If anything he sounds nervous, maybe he's just nervous about his Hep test coming back positive haha. I dunno, his fights havn't been all that convincing to me and he hasn't looked as sharp as he used to. I just hope he brings it at 106.

O no! He's not training with the almight Todd Duffee!? He's sure to win every fight now... Yep' date=' I'm still hating on the Duffee d riders... Simply a flash in the pan, no staying power[/quote']

"The Headhunter" will pick Duffee apart w/ his machine-gun jab & leg-kicks, Hague is a meatball ... .. Hague vs Barry 2

Ortiz hasn't won in the octagon in 3 years and hasn't fought in 18 months...if Griffin doesn't take this convincingly then he has no place in the UFC.
Forrest will always have a place he got schooled by one the best fighters ever come on. hes still one the most popular fighters and has some great highlight fighters.

Oh don't get me wrong, I like Griffin and losing to A. Silva nothing to be ashamed of, he the best fighter on the planet imo...I'm just saying that the first time they fought Ortiz squeaked out a razor thin split decision win and since then Forrest has improved greatly, he's beaten some very talented opponents, won the title, etc. meanwhile Tito has done F'all.

Anyone who believes that Griffin is in anyway the underdog in this fight needs his/her head examined.

forrest will win tito is probably the most over rated fighter to ever compete in the ufc

Oddly enough, you're right. What we've got here in this apparent main event, is actually a battle of the TWO most overrated fighters ever to compete in the UFC. It's bad enough to have to watch either fight individually, let alone against one another. This fight is a snoozefest, as neither of these guys pose any threat to the future of the LHW division. What a disgraceful main event. By my call, Tito tears Forrest another one, via GnP, and that pretty much signals the end of Forrest. It will be hard for Dana to let go of the guy who was solely responsible for saving the UFC, but it will be inevitable.

I hate both these fighters so much - not as people, but as fighters.

You're right about Forrest not being the underdog. Tito, in all respects is the underdog. But in reality, when dealing with a fight that means nothing, proves nothing, and contains the two most overrated fighters ever to grace the octagon, it doesn't matter who the underdog is.

People tend to throw around the word overrated like it's some quantifiable label that is accepted as fact when it's just opinion. They can only fight the opponents put in front of them...they either win or they lose. Both of these guys held the title during their career. both have beaten legends. How are they overrated?

It not looking good for Forrest. I think that if he does not win then maby he has 1 more fight in the UFC then its good bye. Ortiz at least can fall back on the ring rust story and say that he needs time to get his game back.

Maby is Forrest loses then we can have a Forrest v Jardine 2 loser goes to Strikeforce??

Griffen is in a great spot.

Has has already beaten the crap out of Rua once. Sooner or later Rua is going to have to face him again for another beating' date=' although he has been ducking Sobral for longer.[/quote']

Ummm your kidding right... please tell me this is a sad attempt at sarcasim? Forrest beat a Rua with bad knees who was not on form. Forrest would go down in the rematch like a virgin on prom night. All forrest nuthugging aside if he was not one of the fan fav's from Tuf I think he would have a very short time in the UFC if he loses to Ortiz.

once again with the excuses, shut the **** up. if he was injured they wouldnt let him fight....''oh NO but wait!?! his cardio was bad, he wasnt ready'' ...im sure if rua thought his cardio was bad he wouldnt fight. face it....HE LOST deal with it.

Very true, anyone that can fight their way to hold a title is not overrated at all ..Unless I guess you hear someone say something like "oh yeah he's better than all the top ten fighters combined!" .. Overrated is not a constructive criticism.

I'm as big a Forrest fan as you can get.

That being said, the Shogun that we saw in the fight against Griffin was NOT the same Shogun that showed up to fight Lyoto Machida.

Personally, I'd love to see a rematch. I'd be pulling for Forrest to take the upset.. again!!

Last night I had a dream that Forrest submits Tito by an ankle lock/leg lock thing. i'm not sure the technical title for that move' date=' but anywho... let's see if my dreams are premonitions!!!! i must admit however that for reasons unknown.. i woke up and my ankle hurt.[/quote']

Ankle lock, heel hook, knee bar.. something along those lines?

Highly unlikely, but would be VERY cool to see!

Honestly, I don't see Forrest stopping Tito.. more than likely a decision. Either way, as long as he wins, I'll be happy!

I think Griffin is gonna come prepared and ready to avenge his last embarrassing loss. Hes gonna bring it but I just cant put my finger on this one, I dont know how hard Titos been training and where his head is at. Should be interesting.

agreed, its a handicappers nightmare .. Tito looks to be the underdog at the casinos (+200) but Gumper is under incredible pressure & I'm thinking anxiety-attack/adrenaline-dump at the Mandalay Bay main-event . Forrest is off-the-chart over-emmotional & he's got to be thinking "Am I gonna get booed for running from the cage w/o doing a post-fight interview" ? ... tough one, its a pickem' in my opinion & I'm going w/ the long odds .

No, Cro Cop has proved to be the most overrated fighter. This is gonna be a good fight yall. I do think whoever loses, should either be put down to fight night main events, or gate keeper status.
