BAM ... "Rogers Rush"... this is what Fedor wants, this is what Fedor is expecting, this is what Fedor is preparing for .. the only cred here for Emp is a fast easy kill, there is only 1 name on Grims record that 90% of the people here will recognize ..

Many will be amazed at the size difference between Grim/Emp, when you actually see them face to face ... Casino's & Bookmakers have dismissed Rogers (+400) .. go for it :P

If he bum rushes him, it'll be over in the first minute, no question. Fedor is, quite possibly the best skilled HW on the ground. His transitions are bested by nobody at any weight class. His ability to snare an arm, unmatched (I still love you Nog).

Brett certainly has more "power" in his punches, but in no way is he as fast. If Fedor catches him with the flurry like he did Sylvia, we're gonna see a near identical finish.

If they clinch, Rogers is gonna find out what Sambo is all about - at which time he either gets smashed via GnP (oddly enough, Fedor is one of the most dominant GnP fighters of all time too) or armbarred like a 6 year old Mexican with bulemia.

The only way Rogers wins, is by a huge punch that Fedor doesn't see. This has only happened to him once in his career (Fujita), to which he shook it off like a warrior, smashed Fujita with monster hooks square to the face, and then choked his **** out.

Fedor has a chin as well folks.

Wow there is alot of jibba jabba going on here with fedors going to get messed up, rodgers going to get messed up. I want fedor killed, I want rodgers killed.

You know what this one is actually quite hard to call, technically fedor should be better, he has the experience and the cool calm collective, but then rodgers has massive knockout ability n I guess as does fedor. But you know what Fedor in my opinion has gone down in the respect level. Im not going to predict a winner its just to hard to call, at some point the guy you think has no chance of losing actually loses. The fan favourate doesnt always win, fedor is not invincible his day is going to come sooner rather than later.

So thats why this is one of the most eagely anticipated matches for me, I have followed rodgers watching from a distance and like his abilities and defo feel he has huge future ahead of him. Fedor had his chance to challenege what is widely regarded as the best mma promotion UFC but he turned his back only Fedor knows why he did that nobody else. But he aint in the ufc and I cant actually see him ever fighting in the ufc, if he does i want you all to pm me and i will eat my signed and limited dan hardy bandan.

There's no HW in the UFC, except for Big Nog, that even deserves mention beside Fedor. Lesnar, Carwin, Velasquez, Dos Santos have about 5 years of utter domination to do, before ever believing they could hang with the Emp.

Believing that Strikeforce is like the minor leagues to the UFC, is quite possibly the most uneducated, uninformed opinion ever to grace MMA circles.

I understand why people would want to see fighters like Brock Lesnar lose.. But Fedor? Why? I dont understand how any MMA fan could honestly dislike this guy. I mean... come on... he is like the epitome of a true fighter. Similiar to Wanderlei. Both fighters, when they fight, they are so aggressive and always try to finish the fight one way or another. And then when not fighting, they are the nicest guys on the planet. Fedor got alot of bad mouth from Dana... you shouldnt listen to all that, half of it was probebly not true. I would understand if he was a complete ****... and he was ****y... and arrogant.... You know how some fighters act!!! But not only are ALL his fights exciting. He is so respectful in AND out of the ring. Which is what makes him a true martial artist.

I cant understand why anyone would want a 'nobody' (maybe its abit harsh, but i mean a nobody, as not a HUGE name, or a nobody as hasnt really had many fights at a high level), to 'seriously harm' Fedor lol. Its also unbelievable that anyone actually is giving Rogers a high chance. I honestly think Fedor could strike with Rogers aswell. So what.. Rogers has power... so does EVERY HW fighter!!! There is always a chance when fighting fighters so big, that you can get KOed. But it isnt that easy to KO such a talented fighter like Fedor. IMO though, Fedor will strike with him abit, so he is abit more unpredictable, and then go for the takedown, where he will literally dominate Rogers. GnP him, and then submit him. I will bet any money on that happening. I just cant see Fedor being stupid enough to play into Rogers strength, Fedor is to smart, he is a master at eliminating his opponents strengths. And he does is every fight, i expect him to do it again!!!

Really? People said the same thing about Rocky Marciano. Nuff said.

How can one not believe that Fedor will steamroll Rogers, Overeem and Silva/Werdum, then come to the UFC to teach Lesnar, Carwin and Velaquez a lesson? He's got 30 previous wins and no losses - if you're gonna ride anyone's nuts, might as well be the cat that is 30-0. Fortunately I've had the opportunity to watch and adore him when he was only on his 6th win.

Why would Fedor, the most humble, respectful and likeable guys in all of MMA, want to come to an organization run by an egotistical whiner who causes nothing but bullsh*t drama? Fedor is a fighter, not a soap opera star. Hence the decision.

To truly make an opinion of a fighter, I believe one must seriously sit down and watch as many of their fights as possible. The internet is a fantastic way to download and watch literally any fight you want. Not sure how? They're called Torrents, noobs. Read up on it, get on it, watch the fights. Making an opinion based on a 4 minute Youtube HL video is just ludicrous.

Take Mousasi for example. I saw his wins over Babalu, Jacare, Manhoef and Kang, and felt this guy was the next big thing. Did I start rambling on without information like the Machida huggers did? Nope - I went online, downloaded as many of his fights as I could (19 to be precise) and made an analysis. Guess what, he's even more dominating than I thought, and after watching the majority of his lesser known fights, he instantly became a favourite. People are so quick to spout an opinion without taking the time to sit back and objectively come to their own decisions based on reality, not HL videos or forum banter. It pains me to see......

Hmm in terms of sheer size, and profitability, Strikeforce is actually very small compared to UFC. And you could actually compare UFC to strikeforce using 'minor leagues' as Strikeforce, and NFL as UFC. Purely because of how profitable the UFC is. Lets be realistic, it is HUGE now. And they are putting on so many events now compared to what there used to be. Strikeforce.. hmmm not so many events. However, to say its a minor league in terms of who fights in what organisations, is yes.. as you said... very uneducated. First of all the heavies... You have Werdum.. Overeem and most importantly FEDOR. LHW they now have Mousassi... easily one of the best in the world, but i do actually think he needs to fight more top LHW fighters - but he has stated that the only place he can do that is the UFC, so he will be making the move in the future. As lets face it, the UFC has most of the best LHW in the world. Fact. You have Jake Shields...Melendez...Antonio Silva... Nick Diaz...Lawler..Frank Shamrock..the new signing Zamoroskis...

So they do have very good fighters there. They just dont simply have ENOUGH fighters to put on regular shows. So have never really been able to expand very quickly. They are growing, but very slowly.

UFC is massive compared to Strikeforce though, Strikeforce has some great fighters, but UFC have far more of the best in the world, apart from in the HW division. And UFC also have ALOT of great up and comers. And they also have ALOT of just average fighters. Which are fun to watch, but will probebly never make it BIG.

More does not equate to better. Not sure how you missed that life lesson.

Lemme break it down in some realistic terms for you. Rogers is ranked currently as a #5-10 HW in THE WORLD. He's bigger and stronger, and meaner than Shane Carwin. Aside from Carwin and Lesnar, there is nobody in the UFC worth fighting Fedor. Sure I love to see JDS and Cain have a run, but if you're implying that any of these 4 guys have some "RIGHT" to fight Fedor, take it up with Dana. He is the only reason Fedor isn't in the UFC, regardless of what you think you know.

Next up is Alistair Overeem - by most accounts, a #8-12 HW, who oddly enough, holds the SF belt. He's by FAR, a more accomplished fighter than Lesnar EVER will be. His K-1 legacy, combined with his incredible MMA resume, makes him a much more sought after opponent than Lesnar would be for Fedor. So that takes up 2 of Fedor's 3 fights in Strikeforce. His 3rd will likely be against Fab Werdum, oddly enough, another Top 15 MMA HW, or Top 20 MMA HW Bigfoot Silva.

No matter how you slice it, Fedor is fighting 3 fights in SF against 3 of the world's premier HWs. However you've come not to believe this, is beyond me.

Once he finishes these off, he'll likely entertain a 3 fight contract in the UFC to finish his career - teaching Lesnar, Carwin and Cain a lesson in sport superiority.

Oh there's no debate that UFC is hands and feet above SF in terms of moneymaking. I couldn't care less who makes more money. I couldn't care what the promotion is. I'm 100% about the fighters, and if the UFC holds 80% of the best, so be it. What I don't like, is the constant drama we see unfolding recently in the UFC.

Keep in mind Strikeforce is slowly building their roster, under the radar so to speak. Zaromskis was a HUGE pickup that blew me away. Combine their willingness to cross-promote with Dream, and you've got the start of something potentially big.

Here's a paste from Wiki to give some folks a little bit of history.

"Strikeforce was founded in 1985 as a kickboxing organization. It became involved with mixed martial arts in 2006 with its first MMA event, Strikeforce: Shamrock vs. Gracie, on March 10, 2006, at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.[1] The event was California's first regulated MMA event and broke the previous record for largest audience at a MMA event in the United States, previously held by UFC 57, with its 18,265 in attendance. The record was since broken by UFC 68 and K-1 HERO'S Dynamite!! USA, although Shamrock vs. Gracie retained the paid attendance record of 17,465."

That's right nubs, SF has been around LONGER than the UFC. Sure, I'm being technical, and in no way are they bigger, but a nice piece of history to all the uninformed who believe SF just appeared last year and will surely fold in the next one. FAIL.

This Saturday could prove to be the catalyst that vaults MMA into the mainstream, with more than 10 million people remembering the name Strikeforce. Things can change on a dime, and I'm predicting they will.

No worries dude, this is the internet, and we're all entitled to voice opinions. I might get zoned in when I'm on here, but when I'm off, I forget what was even being said for the most part. Just a cool way to discuss fights, call people jabronis and be on your way.

Here's another thing you'd understand after watching every Fedor fight. He's the best counter-fighter the sport has ever seen. People think A. Silva and Machida started this trend, which is why they're so successful. It is one of the reasons the are so formidable, but Fedor was fighting counter-style while Machida was still begging for change in Brazil.

He's made a career of it, and the Arlovski fight was no exception. Although I do see that Arlovski was in fact maintaining an amazing gameplan, and would have been up on points until the KO - he goes and tried a flying knee ala Rothwell that ends with a kiss from the Sandman. Fedor's pinpoint accuracy combined with his world-best sambo, JJ, intelligence, and straight up reaky calmness, is why he is the best MMA fighter to grace the sport, and why his left testicle resides in a mason jar on my fireplace.

Talk to Dana White, he had all the ability to make it happen, but his ego got in the way. Cross-promotion has been the norm for all combat sports for nearly a hundred years, but apparently Dana thinks he's above it. This is where the fanboys and brainwashed. You've been led to believe that UFC means anything. It doesn't. It's a group of men who make money from getting other guys to fight. There couldn't be a more morally questonable job on the planet, especially given the money they bring in. Don King anyone?

Cross-promotion is a NECCESSITY in combat sports. There is no way you can expect every fighter in the world to come together under one umbrella (I'd be friggin happy if it did though). Hence, co-promotion is mandatory. If nothing less than to give the PAYING fans what they want to see. People can justify Dana's comments and actions all they want, fact is, they're robbing themselves in the name of blind PROMOTIONAL ****y. Mark it down - the UFC is the first fight promotion, that at least 70% of their fans watch for the UFC logo, instead of the guys in the cage. I see it on here daily.

I would think if he is P4P he would fight atleast the number one contender and not just the number5 ranked guy...lol or number 8 at best ranked guy?those are his next two fighter doesnt make sense...

Who's the number one contender? As fans of the sport, we've allowed it to get to a level where there is no actual ranking. Don't you find it funny that the UFC doesn't have a page devoted to internal rankings? You know why? Because as long as people keep paying to see stylistic matchups, instead of legitimate ranking matchups, it'll always be this way. Yet another element that most are blind to. If you wanna see this as a legitimate sport, with legitimate rankings and contendership, there needs to be a GLOBAL MMA BODY with one set of belts. There can still be multiple promotions going on, which is where we would see Fedor/Lesnar. Under the current system of ego and greed, this'll never happen. It's a damn shame, and yet another testament to the corporate crap we ingest on a minute by minute basis.

Dude me too. I was creaming my pants at the prospect of Fedor coming to the UFC. I mainly blame Dana, but Fedor's manager Vadim is a jabroni too. In all likelihood, he was being excessive in his demands of the UFC, but let's get real here. When you've got the money and clout the UFC does, I'd do anything to make it happen.

Let me tell you something else. If people don't think Brett Rogers is as good/if not potentially better opposition for Fedor than Lesnar, Carwin or Cain, they truly don't know a thing about the current state of MMA.

Who's the number one contender? As fans of the sport' date=' we've allowed it to get to a level where there is no actual ranking. It's a damn shame, and yet another testament to the corporate crap we ingest on a minute by minute basis.[/quote']

Brock is number one contender.........i dont think anyone in the world would disagree? Maybe diehard fan of Big Nog but thats just cause they want to see a rematch ...as would i but not until fedor fought brock...

Challengers dont wait for the champ to come to them, its the challengers job to go to the champ.

I never understood the whole "if Fedor wants to be the best, he has to fight the best in the ufc". Fedor is better than anyone the UFC has ever had at hw. If Lesnar, Carwin, Dos Santos, etc want to claim to be the best, they need to beat Fedor.

Excellent point. You want it, come get it. I love how people rationalize that Fedor somehow has a duty to seek out competition that they agree with.

Agreed

And the same goes for Shields and Gomi and Cung Le in the future. You can't say GSP is ducking Shields. GSP is stand on the hill saying I'm the king, try to knock me off.

so many people don't understand the #1 can go where ever he's still the #1 until he's beaten.

.. this is an excellent point, when Couture left the UFC he immediately sought out Emelianenko because he knows "to be the best, you must beat the best" (& in my opinion, decisively) .. maybe some UFC heavyweights should consider Strikeforce ?

Another example, immediately after guillotining Collosus in 33 seconds .. Overeem called out Fedor .. winner of Silva vs Werdum will also want Fedor .

Lesnar is a ****y sob-rebel & it wouldn't surprise me if he seeks a match w/ Emelianenko eventually, if he beats Fedor, he silences the critics & anti-fans that say he has no talent, he gains immediate leverage & instant credibility internationally ...

Seeking out Fedor is easier said than done no? The UFC heavyweights are under contract, they can't just jump ship for a few fights seeking out Fedor can they? And they are in the UFC for a reason, they see longterm its the best career choice.

Fedor is on top so he can/will go anywhere he wants but he'll never silence everyone till he fights in or at least some of the top UFC guys. I'd love to see a co sponsored single fight between Lesnar and Fedor or Nog or whoever the UFC feels they can throw at him.

fedor already beat nog twice, lesnar is not qualified to fight emelianenko & nog would submit lesnar faster than frankie did ...
