Hardy will be straight up' date=' Outclassed. I think GSP is going to KO Hardy.[/quote']

'Outclassed'? - possibly, beaten? probable, after all GSP is an incredible MMA talent and overwhelming favorite against any welterweight period.

But 'KO Hardy'? Thats not going to happen.

Im sure this has been brought up already but i havent been on in a while so didnt see a thread for it...What the hell is this? Is there really no one else to fight GSP? Hardy is going to be demolished.

This has been brought up about 500 time since the fight was announced. Everyone just needs to stfu about it, it's happening, get over it, come back on after the fight to gloat about being right if you want. I'm a Hardy fan but I don't think he'll win, but all this GSP will DESTROY him c**p is getting really boring. Win or lose He'll put up a good fight, you Hardy haters need to detach yourselves from GSP's balls and stop all this Hardy's not worthy bs, Pierre is just a man, not a god, he can be beaten, the other contenders have already lost so now it's someone else's turn.

Defo think gsp wins' date=' probably by taking Hardy down, gnp.

As always.

[b']But surely you don't think he has anything to prove fighting BJ again[/b]???

after the fitch fight, bj popped up in the octagon and issued a friendly challenge to gsp for another shot...goldie also alluded to another gsp penn fight during the fitch fight...fkn goldie...

GSP is going to man handle him. It will be a joke.. I don't even like GSP, and I can see this.. Alves would whoop Hardy. Hardy is over-rated. You will see when he gets rocked by GSP. You thought Fitches face looked bad? haha. I bet Hardy tops it.

Somany folks are looking to write off Dan Hardy, and that's more than a little short-sighted - and dare I say it, jingoistic?

Sure, GSP is the big dog, the complete package at welterweight and frankly I can't see anyone beating him on anything else than a fluke or GSP having a bad day. But that HAS happened before...

Dan Hardy is 4-0 in the UFC, and is the only top ten welterweight on any kind of streak (Ok, that's not quite true - Jon Fitch is building a new streak, but GSP already beat him and Fitch's matches are kind of dull and Paul Daley's 2-0 UFC streak needs another win over a contender to make him a viable challenger.)

That winningness makes Dan a credible challenger, but let's be honest - he's getting the shot because he'll sell the fight brilliantly - and given that any other options for GSP are retreads, that is a major concern for the UFC.

I do think GSP will win, but dan has KO power in his hands, and has a solid chin, so IMHO a GSP win is most likely to come by UD.

I would like to think that perhaps, just maybe if Dan can adopt a Chuck Liddell strategy (sprawl, stop the takedown, aim for the KO punch as you foil the shoot in) and GSP mistimes a takedown, we could see a new champion.

But that is about 2% likely, with GSP grinding out the UD far more probable.

As for other contenders, I reckon the winner of Daley-Koscheck should get a shot (I prefer Daley) and after that I guess it's whoever is on the best streak from Alves, Fitch or Condit - after the Hardy match there should be plenty time for a challenger to arise, as GSP has intimiated he is going to flirt with middleweight.

Ah, I might as well say it...GSP-Penn 3?

Just don't think it would make much sense.

GSP was too big for him then, and he's only got bigger since.

BJ needs to get over it, stay at lightweight and make his legacy there..

Second this, gsp will most probably ground out the ud win.

But some of the morons on here saying rubbish like it's gonna be a massacre, gsp's gonna own him, knock him out in the first round there's no

Thought about past gsp fights, gsp isn't really known for knocking people out.

Or stopping people in the first round.

Some people on here had better hope gsp wins for sure. If he doesn't..... stand by lol

The people on here who says things like GSP will "Kill Hardy" "Throw him outa the octagon" etc etc have never been in a fight in there lives, If they say they have then there just full of shiiiite.

GSP bleeds just the same as everyone of us and as someone allready stated is not a god, just another human being who can be knocked, as we have seen before...

I do agree that George is a monster and probs my all time fave fighter, just bugs me when people spout nonsense about dewds being killed bla bla.

I want Hardy to win just so i can come read the excuses on this forum *_*

Hardy is going to get Killed by GSP. Not because GSP is a god. Because Hardy is over-rated, and GSP isn't.

And your fave posistion in a fight is the Fetal position.

Yea, making you get in the fetal position would be the best part of a fight wouldn't it. I like how you comment on me "fighting" because I said Hardy is over-rated, and that he would get Killed by GSP. Which is a little to much, but you were *****ing so why not.

Well it would be if you could ever make that happen, but considering you prolly aint left your basement in the last 10 years that aint gonna ever happen is it..

Now go knock another one out over a picture of GSP...

PS:

I have to go back to work now, we can carry on when your finnished school if you want.

Hardy is a very intelligent fighter, and will be well aware of GSP's preferred gameplan before the fight.

Unfortunately, BJ Penn, Thiago Alves and John Fitch were also well aware of his gameplan and could do nothing to stop it. I think Hardy will present a much tougher test than people expect, but I can see GSP pulling out a late sub in this one.

Yeah ur right if GSP loose that fight he will come back stronger and beter so i think all the ww division prey for him to win cause a stronger and beter GSP is someting u got to stay away in a ring .

Anyway Hardy got a puncher chance but he not even close of GSP skill.

Hardy will loose but im sure GSP take Hardy Seriously he will not make the same mistake twice like with serra .

Rooting for GSP in this fight is like going to a Casino and rooting for the house.

I imagine after GSP wins, which I concede he probably will, there will be folks coming on here gloating about it too - going back to the casino comparison - that's like yelling at a punter "Yeah, my dealer busted your ****"

I think he's got more than a puncher's chance. He's good at getting into guys' heads and St. Pierre's had cracks in his mental game before. I think GSP's matured immensely and I still give him the advantage, but anything can happen at this level. I imagine he'll use a similar strategy to his victory over Penn - outwrestle him in 1st round, make his arms heavy so he can't swing as well, then impose his will and put Hardy on his back to tire him out again. However, if Hardy's studying, he'll have an answer for this plan of attack. If I was Hardy, I'd be working on my guard and learning new angles on MT knee shots. Somebody previously mentioned the Chuck Liddell approach. I can see that happening, too, but Hardy's got to work on his circling more for that to work. If he can push off the cage, circle and shoot knees, Hardy might be able to make room for a combination knock-out.

Regardless of the outcome, this will be a great fight. Hardy's a prick, but he's got heart. GSP's a technical master and will undoubtedly put on another clinic.

I predict GSP via submission - Round 3

How on Earth did you arrive to that conclusion? Because he likes to create a little bit of a rivalry before a fight? Amplify the contest a little?

I would say of all the UFC fighters, he is amongst the most articulate and intelligent.

After the fight Hardy will know the difference between a good fighter and a great fighter. I don't think Hardy will be demolished but I do think every aspect of his game will be systematically dismantled by GSP. Hardy of course has a punchers chance, but Alves had a lot more of a punchers chance. I hope Hardy can keep his chin up after the fight and not go down the mental dark alleyway where he thinks he could never compete against those skills.

Articulation and intelligence have nothing to do with being a prick. Giving a runner up trophy as funny as it was to Swick is a prick type thing, or the trash talk to Marcus Davis pre fight is being a prick.
