Brock Lesnar is best heavyweight in world

If you win the superbowl, you are considered the best team in the world. Why? Because the NFL is the biggest football organzation in the world. You dont see the team that wins the championship in the AFL being the best in the world.

the ufc is the biggest mma organization in the world. So if your the champion, even if you only fought 5 guys to get there, your still the champion and the best.

(and here he goes) until fedor comes to ufc, he cant be the best in the world. sorry fedor fans but you have to fight the best now, not before and the best are in the ufc.

respond with intelligent comments please, not fail thread or fanboy or some stupid computer jargon.

by the way, the heavyweight division is stacked now and some great matchups are on the way

Brock is the best until he faces Mir again IMO. I know what you mean, some Fedor fan is just gonna say "Fedor will tear Brock apart," with no reasons behind that at all. If you ask me Arona did well when he faced Fedor, now imagine Brock. Brock would destroy Fedor.

Wow. You're American, yes? If so, well then of course you think that the NFL is the biggest football league in the world. I bet you also think Soccer is irrelevant too?

Look, UFC is the biggest, but it's not nearly as big as you think it is. Pride, back in the day, well, lets just say that if it was well known here, in the USA (being from Japan), it was probably the biggest around. Fedor fought in Pride. A lot of the big name guys went to Pride. Hell, a lot of UFC guys went to Pride. Fedor beat them all.

And again, UFC is not as big as you think it is, otherwise they wouldn't be looking to expand the sport to other countries. Plus, here in the USA, SF, although it is in second place, is well known and sorta respected by the diehard MMA fans.

Fact is that in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, the "best" does not always win in the end, moreso in the NFL since it is a one and done situation.

In MMA the "best" is not always the champ! His ranking is #1 since he is the champ, but still not the best at the sport.

You think Serra was the best in the sport when he held the title? Forrest? No doubt they earned the championship with legit victories, but no way weer they the best at the sport at the time they held championships. Same as Brock. He earned the title when the oppurtunity was handed to him on a silver platter and he took advantage and won the matches, but no way you can convince me or anyone with a grip on reality that he was, is, or ever will be "the best" fighter at HW. Hard to beat due to his obvious advantages, but most definitely not the best!

Cereal box logic, mixed with a little bit of AK logic. Nice.

Makes perfect sense. Cant believe no one has ever thought this.

Plus' date=' theres no comparing a relatively new sport like MMA to that of Football, which has been around practically forever. The NFL alone was founded in the 1920's. the UFC? 1993. Hah.[/quote']Not to mention the fact that the AFL hasn't been a separate football league since 1960.

He's not comparing Brock to an NFL team, he's comparing the organization's pull, power, popularity, and quality. The UFC has quickly become the world's top organization because it pulls in all of the world's greatest fighters to one place to determine the best. For instance, if Dan Hendo was to win the belt he's scheduled to fight for in Strikeforce, do you think the UFC would hail him better than Machida? No, because Machida reigns in the UFC.

YOU MUST PROVE YOURSELF IN THE OCTAGON.

Good point! Go Favre go. I think the O.P. is right in that the division DOES have a bunch of talent. I'd love to see JDS & Valasquez fight. If Brock wanted to fight Fedor, and it was THE ONLY goal in his life right now, he'd leave the UFC and go fight him. It's a 2-way street my friend. Brock doesn't need the money. UFC doesn't OWN Brock. He's a human being.

FOOL! Don't you know that simply by signing to fight Fedor, your losses and poor performances of the past are wiped away?

Werdum got blasted by JDS, who barely makes the top level in the UFC due to his inexperience, yet these past few weeks while the talk of Fedor's next opponent was leaning toward Werdum, his name has been crawling back up in the "rankings". Sure Fab has some good wins, but his fights against true upper level fighters have ended badly. This puts him solidly at the top of the second tier.

In this crazy wacky mixed up world of MMA, apparently all you must do to rise in the HW rankings, is be rumored to be Fedor's next opponent. Then Scott Coker, the crazy Russians of M-1, and the Cult of Fedor work so hard to build that fighter's rep up to make believe he is a credibleopponent for the best HW on the planet that (some) people actually believe it!

Why is it that people like Penn, GSP, Mir, and many others go on record to say Fedor is?
