So I just came across this and got pumped up.

"It's the first time in history a guy at 50 will go for a real fight in Macau [China],'" he told gathered media at a news conference in the Ukraine last week. "It's kind of dangerous, but life is short."

If he's serious, it's about to get much shorter. Van Damme says he intends to fight Somluck Kamsing, a Thai boxer with 300-plus bouts to his credit (this according to Van Damme). Kamsing is only 37 years old: According to Wikipedia, he won gold as a featherweight boxer in the 1996 Olympic Games.

Van Damme's athletic r?sum? consists of some hazy full-contact tournaments in the 1970s -- and beating up himself in "Double Impact." By way of bizarre fight ambition, he also (allegedly) circulated a rumor that he had signed to fight Bas Rutten in a K-1 bout some years back.

The actor says he intends to film up to 36 episodes of a reality series this year, the latter 12 of which would consist of his training for the fight, culminating with the bout in China. "[it will be] the training of Van Damme," he said. Third-person references rarely portend good things.

This is probably to try to hype his Universal Soldier 3 movie but this could be terrible. The guy is 50 years old and is probably going to get killed out there. But on the other hand if he can pull it off how incredible would that be?

Another funny note. Apparently Stallone had a party at his house and JCVD and Steven Segal were at his party. Words and shoves were exchanged and JCVD asked him to step outside. JCVD waited for Segal for 2 hours and he never showed haha. I don' t know how true all this is but I died laughing. Stallone said it was because Segal thought JCVD was too strong. Check out the video!!

First of all, he won't even be the first 50 yr old, that was Ron Van Clief, who was 53, and fought Royce Gracie.

Second of all something will happen and he will pull out before any actual fight happens. That tool has done this before. He talks up fighting in K-1, Thai Boxing, MMA, and a week or so before his "match" happens some freak accident injury happens while he is training and wrestling a panda or some lame crap.

The world could only hope that he would have fought ElGuapo when that rumor surfaced, it would have saved everyone years of seeing that Belgian jag-off n his horrible movies and ridiculous life in general.

Van Damme is so full of sh**! The guy took like a couple years of karate in his teens & then made everyone in Hollywood think he was some sort of master martial artist. He claimed to be a European kickboxing champ, but of course there is no evidence of him ever fighting. Don "The Dragon" Wilson challenged him to a kickboxing match & offered up $100,000 of his own money. Of course, Van Damme declined. For those who don't know, Don Wilson, along with doing cheesy B movies, was a kickboxing bada** who held 5 different titles in 3 weight divisions. I hope JCVD gets arms broken, along with his jaw!
