"I make good decisions, I think," Ortiz said. "Sometimes (I make) bad decisions, and they hurt me a little bit with my fans, but in the long-run, for my family and for the fans that are still true, hardcore fans, I do the right thing - and for the fighters. The fighters don't realize it because they think Tito's just talking [expletive], but I've raised the bar for all of them, big-time.

"People like (Rashad) Evans and 'Rampage' Jackson and Chuck Liddell ? these guys are making the millions now because of me holding out. If I didn't hold out, they'd get taken advantage of. They want to be the company guy, which is cool. I'm the company guy now, and I'm very thankful for (UFC co-owners) Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta for being as giving as they were."

Well lookie here everyone, Tito Ortiz has seen the light, realized he is no longer relevant and this is his way of trying to fool people into thinking he is.

Mediocre one-trick ponies don't cut it in MMA anymore Ortiz; it's 2010. Keep being a "company guy" and maybe the UFC will let you stick around as a guest commentator once in awhile if you learn how to stop BBelting you BBB's.

tito gets worst everyday and his head gets bigger every day but his balls get smaller every day

With a wife like that, my balls would be drained too.

But seriously. I do see where he's coming from. He's saying that they are getting paid more because he demanded more money from the UFC. But i dont think he should be taking all the credit for raising the amount of money that goes into fighter's pockets.

It was very little, if at all, his doing.

+1 exactly what i said. Aside from the hiring of a pr rep' date=' which is also a good idea.[/quote']

yup totally agree with what you said. A lot of ppl rip on Tito but he is still one of the most visible fighters in MMA, and a name that is very familiar to the casual fan. The UFC had no option but to hire him coz Tito is a big draw, knows how to hype fights and he would've been a loss to the UFC had he signed with another promotion. Is he a top five 205'er? IMO no. But he sure can sell a PPV/event.

I don't understand...

He is claiming that the only reason why Chuck/Rampage/Rashad are successful is because he stopped fighting for a short period of time?

What?

I think what tito is saying is that when he held out on fighting until the ufc gave him more money he was helping other fighters get better wages too. Pfff yeah right tito, that was just for you.
