Nick Diaz says Nate's UFC loss was funny business

I was cracking up that in tonight's fight one of the 1st things that Nate Diaz said was that his brother won his last UFC fight and the fans need to do something about it. There was nothing wrong with that decision. Defeat your opponent if you dont want it going to judges. 1st off it was a very very close fight. Each fighter won 1 round for sure in that fight and the other round was a toss up. 1 fighter dominated the 1st 3.5 minutes but the other won the last 1.5 minutes. I had Nate winning by a super slim margin, but that 1 round could have gone either way.

Thank God the UFC has much better announcers than strikeforce. In their excitement from Nick's win, they called Nick Diaz a top 10 pound for pound fighter in the world. He's not even top 10 in his division. I would love to see him back in the UFC, but come on top 10 pound for pound???

This is really confusing. You keep mixing Nick and Nate up.

Yeah, I watched the Strikeforce event. I wasn't impressed much. Nick and Nate are kind of the sport's bad boys. They seem to always have something negative going on. I guess that's their marketing angle. If Nate wants to win fights, I would just say that the trick is to finish opponents. Bashing on the people that pay your bills isn't the best way to make a living as an MMA fighter. That and I really don't like the excuse making. Like the fans have anything to do with the judging of the fights anyway.. LOL...

Also, I think it's the stylish thing to do to call a fighter the best P4P fighter. Maybe they think it will bring more competition over to their fighting event.. I mean, Walker sure did look impressive tonight(sarcasm)...

I agree. people who dont know MMA may believe their crappy commentating. Of course their fighter Fedor is the best P4P lol. P4P is not meant for heavyweights anyway. It is meant for lighter fighters to equate their weight to heavier fighters. And BJ and Anderson Silva are way more dominant over their nonstop top tier competition than Fedor is against the minor league competition. What surprised me is that they actually mentioned Nick Diaz in the UFC and GSP. Did you also notice that the biggest applause of the night was for Dan Henderson. It still amazes me that Dana White didnt pay the money for him after him coming off coaching TUF and winning decisively in UFC 100. So freaking upsetting.

I wonder if the Dan Henderson issues were more based around Henderson demanding a title shot and not only about wanting more money.

Nick Diaz IS a top class fighter. You cant deny he has good hands, the combos he was landing on zaromski's(another good striker) was real good striking, He could beat GSP standing, and he would be great on the ground. Not saying he would beat GSP, but he has improved ALOT and could hang with most UFC welterweights.

Nate said the same thing when KJ Noons didnt want the rematch with Nick at Elite XC. Nate said "Can we please have someone fight my Brother!!!"

I would say he's a top 10 welterweight. But you're right to say he's not even close when it comes to pound for pound. Yes, he beat Marius Zaromskis toe-to-toe, but it was hardly a flawless performance. He got dropped part way through the round.

Anyway, it's not like Marius is a top striker in the world. This is a guy who stood with Che Mills twice and lost both times. And while I do like Che Mills, he's hardly a top level fighter.

Nick Diaz would be a good addition to the UFC roster. I think he'd have some good fights with Rumble, Daley or Koscheck if the fights stayed standing. But there's no way he could compete with GSP.

I saw Maynard totally winning that decision. He knocked Nate down 3 times. All Nate did was ***** slap him the entire bout. I don't even think those punches would count in boxing. The thing that throws everybody off is that Gray looked cut up, but that was due to alot of scar tissue that he has. It's kinda like Marcus Davis. Even when Marcus Davis wins, his face looks like someone ran him over with a Mack Truck.
