mrmoos
I know Faber is part of the WEC, but i would love to see a Penn/Faber match. I just finished watching BJ Penn dominate the last elligible fighter in the 155 weight class (Sanchez). It was re-aired tonight, and Diego showed that he wasn't going to be a challenge for Penn, beginning in the first 15 seconds. Urijah Faber is a bit smaller than Penn, but he is so F'ing fast, I think he might put up a good fight. Faber's loss to Mike Brown was a pure accident. It looked like Urijah knocked himself out when he ran into Brown's fist.

He won't get far enough to break anything but his face in a fight against Penn.

I love Faber but he couldn't hang with BJ's stand up and I'm not sure he could get BJ down to do his devastating G&P.

World class wrestling and submission game, maybe good enough to not get caught in a rear naked choke, Penns go-to move on the ground. Penn has better accuracy and power when it comes to boxing, but I think the only kick I have ever seen him throw cracked Sanchez wide open. Faber throws them better, and more often. Good fight, but Penn wins, hands down.
0verrated
Bj would win over Faber. 1. Bj is bigger - Whoever says size and strength don't count has no idea what they are talking about. 2. Bj is a better fighter.

KJMahler
So how about someone starts talking about Penn vs someone like Fitch or Kos or Swick or someone in 170 cause no one 155 and below will hang with Penn.
PunchBag
For one faber isnt even in the same weight catagory as penn, hes to small even if he did manage to put on the weight to handle the majority of the top 10 lw fighters let alone penn. Instead i would prefer cerrone to be moved to the ufc i think he would do well there and certainly end up top 5.
skoopsowavy13
For the goon that wrote that bj is laughably overrated please delete your account due to your lack of intelligence on all things mma. Like him or not BJ Penn is the most dominant 155 pounder in the world some say aoki can give him a run for his money but that's all it is a run imo. Now for the topic at hand I am a big fan of both fighters and they are both some of the most exciting martial artists to step in the cage so it would no doubt be an amazing fight.... just prolly not for urijah. My reasons being he couldn't handle Browns power in their 2 fights, he's not going to be able to handle BJ's a man a weight class above him who has fought as high as light HEAVYweight in a DECISION loss to current ufc LW champ lyoto machida. 2 BJ's boxing is far superior althought Faber has amazing standup as well it won't be anything overwhelming for BJ. 3rd BJ's ground game is otherworldly and honestly the only man that can really hold down BJ is GSP a WW that will prolly JUMP WEIGHT soon to challenge the spider. Interesting matchup but I see BJ being the decisive winner

FireBuds
Penn would dominate Faber.. Urijah throws some pretty crazy ninja style combos sometimes and it leaves him pretty open.. not saying its not effective it really is.. but not against someone as skilled as BJ. DarkReflection
Fundamentals beats flash. Penn wins easily because he's the superior fighter. Cheers -DR
The_Sarge
Look no matter how good of a fighter faber is, Penn is just better... He's beaten better fighters and lets face it, UFC has more talented fighters... Their best (WEC) couldn't match up to the "gateway" fighters of the UFC i.e. Nate Diaz, Tyson Griffin, or Sam Stout.. Its just fact no WEC or any fight promotion title holder will ever hold a torch a UFC title holder.

And IF some other promos title holder wants to PROVE they are the best...the deepest talent pool in the sport is in the UFC. Hampus
Urijah wont even get past Aldo so this fight will never happen. If it did, then it would be another massacre from BJ.

NickTF
An interesting idea but i think it would take less than one minute into the first round to see BJ totally outclassing his opponent.
K22UFC
Penn would destroy Faber. Not because of the size difference but Faber isnt even big for 145. I would rather see Faber go down to 135 and maybe fight Bowles or Torres. It would be interesting though if that fight was made. Jose Aldo vs BJ Penn is a fight I would rather see. Florian has pretty much beat everyone he has faced recently besept for Penn. You dont get a title shot by being a can or a failed reality show contestent.
