K22UFC
I think that this would be a great fight. These are probably the two best strikers in division. It would be interesting to see who gets the better of the stand-up battle. This is a very hard fight to call. Both fighters have been very impressive recently. Both fighters have good takedown defence and they both have huge power. Either way I don't think that this fight would last long.
combatadvocate86
Hands are both amazing power wise, I think the difference is if it goes to the ground Shane would be a bit big and strong for JDS.
Naivaf009
I agree this should be an exciting fight. The reason I chose Carwin is because i have seen more of his fights than Jr2Santos. I would expect it to be a 1 round match or going into the second with some pretty bad injuries.

KRYME
JDS I would say has the better hands. They both have KO power but overall JDS has better boxing. Carwin is a big strong guy with legit wrestling, so he could probably take it to the ground if needed. JDS does trian with the Nog's so I think he would be more than ok if it went to the ground. I think I have to give this one to JDS, but I'm not counting out Carwin. Don't know enough about him yet. -buy the ticket. take the ride.
daweedy
JSD would win. He is much more technical striker than Carwin who really has no head movemant. Both guys throw bombs though. I dont think Carwin would be able to take JSD down.anyway
combatadvocate86
Oh yea he got his BJJ from the best, I dont think Carwin is better technically groundwise just too strong to be submitted by JDS unless hes basically already out. If Carwin lands clean then I think it will be all over. I think that Dos Santos will have to do a little more and keep chopping Carwin down to knock him out. NickTF
I think this is a 50/50 split or atleast it is for me. One hit power edge would definitely go to Carwin (I think) and technical edge to JDS. Carwin's chin is a little on the suspect side from the very limited fights i've seen him in actually really just from the Gonzaga dealt stumble. If Carwin could take some shots I may lean toward him but if he can't JDS for sure as he will connect more in the exchange. Can't comment on either's ground game from the lack of i've seen so far. SpiderProdigy
I think JDS got it, Carwin's a good striker but JDS is just a beast, and if he KO's Gonzaga first round (which i think is very very possible) then he'll no doubt get into the big leagues. I'd also like to add JDS is my favorite heavyweight so i'd root for him no matter what.
Mazzagatti_sMoustache
This would be a crazy fight and i would LOVE to see it. I'm leaning towards saying JDS , but this one could go either way. If Carwin loses to Mir and JDS beats Gonazaga , This could happen for sure. *FINGERS CROSSED*
DarkReflection
I don't think they are both great strikers. I think Dos Santos is. But Carwin is a bit slow really and very basic technically...but what he does have is possibly the most KO power in the sport. So it would be a contest of speed and skill versus power and fundamentals. I'd personally be pulling for Dos Santos. Cheers -DR

FightsAreCool
Man I didn't vote I didn't know who to vote for, that fight needs to happen real quick I havn't seen JDS's ground game yet, his next fight with Napao needs to be longer then a round and a half and hopefully gonzaga tries to take him down. I cant wait for that fight

Mir would definitely win the fight with his hands if he was going to win, and I think that JDS has easily the most dangerous hands in the HW division, and quite possibly some of the most dangerous hands in the UFC. I gotta go with JDS.

MMAmadmike
I'd be going for cigano in this fight! They both have the power to finish each other, but I see junior having more speed and better technique! Carwin seems to not mind standing with any opponent as does dos santos so I don't see this fight going to the ground unless one of them is rocked and its their last resort
The_Jack_Attack
Tough one. JDS is the more technical striker out of the two. Carwin is bigger and has more dynamite in his hands.

Aaron91
JDS, Carwins striking Is very overated, hes got a ridiculous amount of KO power, but technically he Isnt a great striker,Gonzaga comfortably outsriked him. and everyone bangs on about his wrestling aswell, Gonzaga had no trouble whatsoever taking him down and thats all we have to base his wrestling ability on so far. Though hes a fighter you can never count out, the KO power he has Is ridiculous,1 punch on the jaw and Its over.
sepsism
I think JDS would take Carwin out provided Carwin didn't land a lucky KO punch on him (it could go either way). Carwin's wrestling might neutralize JDS's BJJ but as mentioned above we haven't really seen a lot of so far as he likes to stand. The question is who does he fight next? Does he fight the loser of Carwin v Mir or Nogueira v Velasquez? For his title shot? Personally I think Mir will finish Carwin, and Velasquez will edge out a decision over Nogueira. Velasquez will then go on to be defeated by Mir which pretty much leaves Nogueira for JDS to defeat in the meantime before getting his title shot at Mir IMHO (if it all goes down that way). Might see JDS taking on Mir for a title shot at Carwin's belt.

Juzie
JDS would whoop his ****, only way it would go to decision is if Carwin lays on him, I still see JDS taking that decision. I mean...Carwin always has a punchers chance that has been proven...but id bet on JDS by stoppage.

Xhojin
JDS is a far better striker then Carwin. Carwin hits' hard.. but that's it. I think JDS would outbox Carwin and win pretty easily.

Mercsho
I don't know enough about each of their ground game but based on the hands, Cigano would destroy Carwin. I'd be surprised if it left the first
