no way am i throwing a nice lump of money into investments with such a broken economy

however, i would likely invest in one of those cheap walk in sauna's from canadian tire, fix my car all up nice, take a month off work and go somewhere, and either a hot tub or a snowmobile with a custom gold engraved beer holder

if they dont have the custom beer holder, i can live without the snowmobile. ill take a big block hemi engine instead, so i can convert it into an industrial sized barbeque grill like the one i seen on that show manswers

so considering you guys want to throw your cash into investments or donate it to people in haiti, how about donating $12,000 to me?? i wouldnt let you down on my investments. after all, theres room for two in this sauna and its only $900

There's actually alot of money to be made in investing right now so long as your investing in the right things. My financial adviser actually made me a good chunk of change in the months leading up too and directly after the financial crisis.

I would give it to G__row.

Just sayin.

You know G I always thought you were the fat guy on the left not the tiny dude on the right on your AV. Just Saying and I know its totally unrelated. If I had an extra 12K laying around I couldnt find a use for you'd be pretty high on my list of donatable people.

So one Question.... Do you actually see any of the money from the sold Team G-row tee shirts from Kitsura.com

That "Fat guy on the left" lol....is my buddy Paul Buentello. UFC Heavy Weight.

I am 5' 11", 185, not huge, but not exactly tiny. Paul is a big dude.

Yes, Kitsura sends the money to me, and I give it to the Hospital.

I'd buy some of the members on here a personallity and some common courtesy/manners.

Like trying to offend someone by calling them either "Fat" or "Tiny?"

Or taking a joke they made to try and sling an insult?

Yeah, I know what you mean. Funny part was me having to explain who is in my AV.

I actually came into a similar situation with the Army giving me my medical severance, last pay check and 2 and 1/2 years of cashed in vacation days(roughly 2 and 1/2 months of pay) leveling out to about 43k+7k and then recieved and 8k tax return on top of all of that.

So roughly $58k in a month. what have I done with it you ask? Paid off my **** horrible spending habits wife's 3 credit cards, bought about the most fancy used car you can possibly find(being able to outright buy the car with cash is the best possible bargaining tool one could have), made a few inexpensive home improvements, paid my in-laws propety tax so they can get my brother in law a car(yeah, he's 16 and we're 30 somethings, don't ask me how that happened it just did :P)and am currently sitting on the rest till I find out what to do with it.

Don't go out and spend on impulse. It is very easy to come away with junk and nothing when you're not spending intelligently. Be careful, and most of all, don't pay any attention to friends and women that all of the sudden want to be back in your life.

I generally am when not discussing the big 2(religion, politics). I will probablly end up using the rest on a real estate investment of some kind. Both my wife and I have full time career positions so the extra dough is just luxury cash right now.

My father was the biggest frugal, penny saved is a penny earned philosopher ever. I guess it rubbed off on me.

I am the opposite, I do not save a lot. The cost of living is way to high these days.

The military has instilled a practice of readiness in me that I cannot ignore. Usually I will estimate the cost of my biggest repair, whether vehicle or home and try to save twice that amount in case it happens. i also use this practice when buying large purchases, take the price of the item and save double the cost, then purchase whatever it is with cash.

If you're big on instant gratification it is not the practice for you. But it is well worth it in the end.

That is a wise thing, I was implying that when all the bills are paid there is not that much to save.

I don't really think too many people have that luxury tbh. But if you really sit down and formulate your budget and get rid of senseless spending, IE buying sodas or gatorades at the gas station and going out to dinner with the family every now and again, you would be amazed out how much you actually have as disposable income.

I had to sit down with every bill, statement, and expense and basically prioritized with a fine tooth comb and the amount of savings you can get from not doing the little "stupid" spending as I refer to it, is amazing. Trimming the fat so to speak.

No you're not...

Anyways, I beleive it for the most part is a healthy ruffling of the feathers. Even though Fast won't admit it, I know how to get under his skin, just like he knows how to get under mine. I am rarely ever arguementative in my real life so I use this as an outlet. I intitially tried to use the Brock/Fedor crowd for my outlet but the conversation proved to be a little bit lacking in the thought provoking department. If you notice we only really argue when a touchy, PC topic is the subject.

Edit: Wait no I didn't, that was the 50 pounds thread, my bad.[/quote']Haha, ryou actually beat me to it. I'm talking top-class hoors though, not some $10 crack hoor. I'd go to the Bunny Ranch and stick it to Isabella Soprano a few times.

I thought those hoors were clean, the ones from the Bunny Ranch. I think they have to take STD/AIDS tests every week or something. To be a legal hoor in Nevada, anyway, I think you have to get tested.

  • 1 month later...

To expand on what Kevbo was talking about, After sitting down and going through all my bills I discovered that I could very easily live off of 4300$'s a month. That's everything paid and I would still have money left over. I'm not going to say how much money I actually make but for the most part we manage to make it to the end of every month only spending about 5000$'s. And those costs go down in the summer cause we grow alot of our vegetables and I only buy my meat now from farmers.

If you really put the work in you'd be surprised how much money you could cut out of your spending. As for the Car thing I completely agree, when I replaced my old welding truck I got a new one and had to pay 960$'s a month for it. That's before I paid for fuel or insurance. After you factor those things in I was paying probably 1500$'s a month for that truck. Out of the 960 for the payment, 292$'s of that was interest. After I sat down and reviewed the number I paid the damned thing off realizing that losing 55,000$'s right now was better then 78,000$'s.
