nelsons heavier more powerful with uber experience over Struve...look what he did to Brendan Schaub a strong striker?nelson knocked him out...nelsons got a good chin so struves striking should be no problem for nelson, what struve should worry about is nelson getting close to drop the bomb on struves chin...it could be over that quick b4 nelson takes him down...and if it goes down nelson will submit struve as sure as Dana White is bald

Who says that Schaub is a solid striker, he's only fought 5 times. Struve has more fights and more wins than Nelson. Who the hell has Nelson fought AND beat that was any better than who Struve has fought. Don't doubt the Dutchman, he has put on mass for each fight and will not be a cake walk for fatboy.

Struve by triangle 3rd rnd

I thought that the UFC didn't like putting on these freak shows, 6'11 vs a 265lb belly

It should be interesting and as buddy quoted rampage earlier even a skyscraper can't get the moon off of it.

If Struve is reading this, work on your footwork cause if this guy get you down even your legs won't be able to put him in guard let alone a body triangle

I didnt expect Big Country to be given this tough of a fight in his first match since winning the show. I cant wait for this. I like both fighters but I hope Big Country wins to keep the momentum going after winning the show unlike James Wilks. UFN 21 is a stacked card.

People will keep underestimating Nelson and he'll keep wining. The guy has crazy ground skills(has beaten Mir in bjj match)' date=' decent striking and a good chin. I promise that the haters are going to be very frustrated by this guy.[/quote']

yeah i can see this guy annoying me a lot, i don't hate him, but i don't like him at all, and i really want struve to win, but i could easily see this fight going to nelson.

Although Big Country has more skill than Struve for sure the difference in size will be a difficult obstacle. Nelson doesn't have the raw power to do what JDS did to Struve and really threaten the big guy making a takedown absolutely necessary to secure a victory for Nelson...

With that in mind Nelson has to be one of the shortest Heavy's at 6'0" vs Struve at 6'11" and a loooong 6'11' at that. I have Struve taking this one but Big Country Fired Steak has been nothing but surprises for me so I’m not saying anything is for sure here.

it was a grappling match not bjj and it was 7 years ago

i have roy winning this thing i mean struve is a great fighter but lacks experience i think roy will tko him.

why does everyone say Nelson is WAY more experienced than Struve? Struve has more fights and more wins

Struve by triangle (only legs in the UFC that can reach all the way around) end of the 2nd

Grappling/BJJ whatever, he still beat him and I'm sure that Nelson is better now than he was 7 years ago. Roy was also beating Arlovski before the BS standup but I wouldn't expect you to know that because aside from TUF you've never seen any of his fights and just like all the other **** noob fans here you don't know what your talking about. As much as you'd like it to be this isn't the WWE and the fighter with best roided up physique and most badass persona doesn't always win.

you know nothing about me kid, just because I'm new to this forum doesn't mean I'm an idiot. No, I have never watched wrasslin either. I don't think Struve has a roided up physique anyway. You have a valid point on the Arlovski fight, but he still lost.

BTW-just because someone disagrees with you doesn't that you need to hurl insults, we are all just fans of the sport. Just my 2 cents, take it or leave it

that match was a long time ago, take a close look, Big Belly was actually in shape and Mir, not at all, it was a pure BJJ match and that's not anything like MMA, believe me I have been in Jiu-Jitsu tournies for years now.

Nelson has Raw power. I'm sure of it. He's rocked people multiple times. and with his lower center of gravity against Struve, he will have IMMENSE strength when it comes to punching and grappling.

+1

struve doesn't have the power, wrestling, strength or technique standing or on the ground.

His reach wont be enough against nelson, thought the reach difference is insane, 74 to 83 i think it is?

as struve matures and fills out though he will become a big threat to the top heavyweights

I'm interested to see how much mass Struve will have put on for this fight, I think he went up around 11 lbs before he fought the Headhunter, maybe he can come in around 255 or 260 for this one.

i seen the roy - mir tape, and IMO though roy did beat him with the point system, i think if mir was in the shape he is now it wouldve been different cuz he had the better techniques in the beginning
