Mancunianbulldog
One for English footy fans really, but have a pop anyway.
Ares9139
I've been wondering this, I think Gerrard would probably be the most likely option.
Mancunianbulldog
I've been wondering this' date=' I think Gerrard would probably be the most likely option.[/quote'] Yeah it's a no brainer really, Stevie G will feel more at home and it SHOULD make Terry play out of his skin to prove a point. Ares9139
Unless Stevie's been feeling up Cheryl Cole behind Ashley's back. Then we're in trouble.
thesomnambulist
I think it's a good time to blood in Rooney. Fatherhood, etc should give him a bit of a cooler perspective, and he's starting to hit some form lately. Could push him into another level altogether. Never really cared for JT anyway. Never understood JT having the arm band in the 1st place TBH. ....109 countdown shows on E$PN I'm off. Cheers.

jonzero1
I think Terry is being pushed out by the media, personally I think he should stay, this close to the WC we don't need a mix up. I'm recording the countdown btw!
Msandi
as much as i hate to say it, it should be Gerrard, he's an inspiring leader and he would be a good captain, Rooney's a close second be kinda awkard for the players to play alongside terry while he's not the captain. Vonyoda
I'm saying keep terry, what he does off the pitch shouldn't effect his role on it, Tony Adams was locked up and still came out to captain the national team afterwards, surely thats more disgraceful. Rooney cheated on his now wife with old hookers which is surely as bad (ok, no kids then but still) and Stevie G has never impressed me in an England shirt, not once.
