All fixed set patterns are incapable of adaptability or pliability. The truth is outside of all fixed patterns... hence: dance.... and that comes down to the individual as you say. chosen_st
Capoeira has got to be the best 'visually'. It's entertaining as hell and if done right can look like a form of ballet or something. Clearly if we're talking MMA, this fighting style won't hold much bearing; but if I'm watching a movie with fighting in it, a 'visually' solid capoeira fighter will always make me do those double takes. Think of that one black dude in that Tony Jaa movie, The Protector. That scene was badass.
HungGarWarrior
I think one of the best martial arts to watch (when done expertly) is capoeira. Incredible to watch. can you say spring floor for gymnast ? if they could do that on a basketball court i would worship them , but they cant, not that as shown on the video anyways. Same thing as watching the Chinese female gymnast team in action , but not as pleasant to watch wushu is very very broad term and covers every chinese martial art style. I would vote for wushu because pretty much any form of "kung fu" looks awesome in my opinion.

gary68
Just a thought. If you watch some early footage of the mentioned disciplines, some have changed lots and then some have stayed the same.If the form is evolving still then it either hasnt reached its purest form or has left the purest form allready.I think that to be the truest form,it must be today, what it was 200 yrs ago.so capoeira is my vote.
