gsp

a silva

penn

follow closely by

lesnar , fedor and machida, and lately shogun rua

however they are the best fighters right now , so you ll keep hearing about them

more than hearing about those fighters , i actually hate the same threads from different users comming out every week like

gsp vs anderson silva

best p4p

fedor vs brock

if i was the mod i would just delete those threads

BJ Penn. He stays in lightweight where its nice and easy. But as soon as he moves up he gets demolished aaaannnddd back to lighweight he goes.

Come on, now.

I'm not a BJ Penn fan, but that's just a poor statement.

The man would defeat almost everybody at WW. Getting beat by GSP doesn't mean that he sucks. The competition @ 155 is tough as hell. The only reason he makes it look easy, is because he's that much better than the rest of them. GSP is amazing.

No matter how many times I read my previous statement I still cant find where I said he sucks. He doesn't suck. When he fights at WW he fights people like gsp and hughes... "and doesn't train har for them" He and Serra had a real close fight, looked as if he belonged in that weight class. He would have plenty of good and close fights against a lot of WWs. Untill he challenges himself and fights where he should, I cant say he is p4p best.

35-1 "technical" loss to 22-4 losses

Fedor > Anderson

Oh, please.

You're gonna make a claim like that based on records? You must be a fan of MMAth, too.

Here's a 'stat' for you.. Records don't win you fights. Using your logic, you must agree with this..

Diego Sanchez (21-3) > BJ Penn (15-5-1)

What a retarded thing to say. Stepping back to LW after getting beat by GSP to face fighters closer to his own natural weight in Florian and Sanchez is nit an easy step! That comment showed a huge lack of any MMA knowledge.

And more proof of you lack of knowledge as BJ fought Serra at 155. And what do you mean 'Fights where he should'? He is fighting where he should be at his natural weight of 155lbs.

I think if you asked around the majority of posters here would say the level of competition in the UFC at WW is much higher in the top 10 than LW.

As to the OP. Even though I like all three

GSP,Lesner,Silva.

All three have had long layoffs since their last fight. Enough talk GET IN THE CAGE!

When did i say they fought at WW? Serra is a natural welterwieght. just like BJ should be.

Wow explain to how how Serra is not a natural ww.

And BJ has fought at 191lbs. if he can do that you better believe he should be able to fight and fight well at 170

Umm.. Serra is like 5-foot-nothing. Furthermore, both fighters have fat on them at WW. Fat = useless weight.

BJ > almost everybody @ 170.

I'm done with this debate.

BJ had fat at ww cuz he himself said he didnt train for it. if he did then it would be muscle. His body looked like anyone else's thats out of shape. And Serra is only 3 inches shorter than Hughes, another natural ww. And if BJ could beat anyone in welterweight than why doesn't he?
