Bring back Hendo!

Alright I am a fairly new UFC fan, watched my first ppv ufc 92 and have seen them all since then. Today I was trying to think about all of the fighters that I truly enjoyed watching, and Henderson was pretty high on the list. I understand there are politics in the contracts and money is a hot issue among fighters, but I just wish they could renegotiate and work something out. I think Hendo knocking Bisping out was the greatest mma moment I have seen in the last year. After watching TUF all season I couldn't wait for his **** to get dropped. Anyhow, any opinions on a Henderson return sometime in the future?

Probably not any time soon, he left because of a number of factors including not getting the fight with anderson and he left the UFC with a bad taste in his mouth

First welcome to the greatest sport in the world! Cheers on that for sure, if you're like many of us this will become a lifelong passion.

As for Dan. I think he'll do well in SF. He may actually end up helping the UFC quite a bit...by beating most of the big names SF has. I think he is going to embarass Shields. He'll give a great fight to Mousasi and very likely beat him. And if they let him fight Fedor..I think that would be a great fight as well.

As for his future in the UFC? I think he's done. He's at an age where SF will likely see him through the rest of his career as an "elite" fighter. And after that..I don't think going back to the UFC makes much sense for either party. I think it's a possibility, but not highly likely...because Henderson isn't ever going to have the kind of leverage he had when he left. And if the UFC is willing to walk away from that..I doubt he'll have a better chance in the future. UNLESS he beats Fedor. Then...I guarantee you White will come knocking PERSONALLY...WHOEVER...beats Fedor...will be taken into the UFC...so that even if Fedor never comes...they have his conquerer...and that's all that will really matter to them.

Cheers

Thanks for the article all I knew about the situation was forum speculation. I can agree with what you are saying DR it is just a shame to see him go. I was really looking forward to another Anderson fight for him. As for mma itself, I used to be a football only man, but now mma has taken over. I have bought all the PPV's and always have big parties for the fight. My girlfriend doesn't understand the obsession lol. Maybe this sounds far-fetched, but if Hendo can win the title over at SF(which I believe he will) we could see another Champions vs Champions fight with him? Certainly wouldn't mind that.

hendo will not return to the ufc... hes a cry baby and cry babys that want title shots handed to them dont belong. q; )

Meh Anderson Silva is the crybaby who doesnt feel he needs to defend his title. Anderson should have been stripped of the middleweight belt a long time ago. I kind of hope he does retire.

Of all the people to ever be a part of MMA, you would go out of your way to disrespect Hendo like that? The guy has been nothing but a stand up ambassador for the sport who says nothing but good things about the people he works with and fights against. Sure he called Bisping a ****** and had a falling out with Dana, but I believe it was all for good reason. If Anderson Silva lost his belt to Hendo in that match, there is no doubt he would have gotten a rematch, just like all these long time champions in the UFC. So just because Hendo came from Pride he shouldn't ever get another chance at his belt?

People forget that title fight was a unification bout, because Hendo was already a champion. I didn't think he deserved another fight right away, but he deserved another chance at Anderson after beating Palhares, Franklin, and Bisping. All this **** about not wanting to defend the title vs the same person can make sense if that person is just a flash in the pan, but this is Hendo.

He deserved more respect from Dana and the UFC, and he deserves a lot more respect from your ignorant **** for making a post like that.

He's overrated' date=' He left because he knew he couldn't beat Nate.I wouldn't be bothered if he never came back, I'll be cheering for Shields too when they fight (i'm american not english before you start saying ahhhh Bisping nutthugger)[/quote']

I believe he and Nate would be an amazing fight. Sadly we won't see it now. Oh and generally on forums when you tell people not to do something, they will do it. Saying your not a **** will usually result in you being called a ****. :)
