jujutsu101
Should the UFC hold an open weight tournament to once and for all decide who the best fighter is.
Mirko4life
No, openweight tournaments these days don't decide who is the best. How can you even think of it. BJ Penn is a thousand times as skilled as Brock Lesnar, but Brock would win just because of his size. Why do you think both openweight tournaments in Pride were won by HW? CHUCK_N0RRIS
if by open weight you mean let really fat 400 pound guys beat the crap out of each other i'm all for it. it would only have to be 1 round fight because everyone knows they will gas out. Mirko4life
Openweight tournaments are just openweight in the beginning. The semi-finals and finals would just be a HW tournament.

Wouldn't want Nelson crushing the life out of BJ would we? Well... maybe.
hotmetal45
Weight divisions are one of the reasons the UFC has been sanctioned in many more states than previously, they are part of the evolution of MMA and I, personally have no desire to see a big guy seriously hurt a little guy. Back to open weight is back when MMA was considered by senators and sanctioning bodies to be an overly brutal spectacle.
