heaveninblack
So what does Snuffleupagus have on my boy Stevenson? Don't remember any of his fights and he hasn't beaten anyone great as far as I know. Is he a threat?

AssassinNinja
Hes Aussie. Hes fighting in his hometown against Joe. He has an insane top game. Dont see what you're complaining about. This dude has potential. Its gonna be damn close. If George gets on top of Stevenson (Which I believe he will), it shall be interesting to see who has the better jiu-jitsu. Its only really interesting grappling-wise. Stevenson probably has better hands than Sotiropoulos. The strategies will be interesting, indeed. AssassinNinja
hes got sick nasty sub skills Dunno about that. Hes really good at controlling opponents, for sure. In his last win, he got the sub purely out of control. Note how many times he controls the legs, and stops Dent from turning in. He had his arm there every time Dent wanted to turn in. Awesome how he went from bicep crank to armbar, too. 10th planet guys went crazy about that win.
heaveninblack
Not complaining at all, just wondering since I haven't seem him. Are his submissions as good as Diaz's? Hes Aussie. AssassinNinja
Its not the subs I like him for, its just the control. Thats more important in grappling, and hes good at it from top position. Hes also claiming to have a good bottom game, we could see him use that too, although I haven't seen it yet. Watch his fight against Dent, search it up on mmalinker.com. I watched it there at some point. Edit: I know you're not complaining, dont worry. Also, Im extremely bias here, Im Aussie too, after all. Im gonna be cheering George on at Acer Arena when it goes down.

LordCoSaX
He has wicked transitions and vicious arm locks. I have been very impressed with this guy since his fights with Roop and Dent. As far as striking goes, he doesnt have ko power and is a ok technical strike. His domain is the ground. I will be cheering for him as well. And I am not Aussie. AssassinNinja
Yeah, Im suprised there hasn't been heaps of people saying Stevenson will own him, as he is very well known, and Sotiropoulos not so much. I've only watched Dent vs Sotiropoulos, and thats enough for me to cheer him on instead of Stevenson.

goldnuts
I'm so happy George is getting to fight at home. Joe Daddy is no easy opponent The word is this guy trains as hard as anyone, if not harder. The deep committment is there. This is his life, his dream.. and he is damn good at Jiu Jitsu. Truly born to be a MMA fighter. Joe Daddy is going to have to work. Proven top fighter.. but who knows how Sotiropoulus will match up. It may be tough or it may end up looking easy. His toughest test but his previous wins all display all the hallmarks of a real contender. Just yet to see him take a power punch.. hopefully he can dodge those I think he's up to everyone in the division except BJ. Maybe Florian as well who is looking great.. he's got better standup and more experience. Had to be impressed with the destruction of Clay Guida

I've been impressed with the changing levels, head movement, WHEN he shoots.. mixing it up.. Joe Daddy was a short priced favourite long "odds on", but Sotiropoulos had good support at $3 - 2/1 odds and even shortened in a touch. Good odds I thought, and so did a few others. harrow151406051934
Joe has the better striking and bulk strength, and George hasn't faught anyone as good as Joe in striking and BJJ. Will be interesting to see if George can control Joe on the ground if the fight gets there.
