Xytras
I'll be honest. Of all fights on a card I thought this one was a lock for Nate to win. Damn you, Nate, you let me down , big time. But at least now he knows that his take down defence is lousy vs good wrestler and his ground game from his back sucks too. A title fight ready? Not a chance. Too much work ahead. Alpha_Omega
TO be fair Anderson SIlva would not have fought him like that. I'm honestly worried than Hendo would have done worse to him had they fought. Henderson is a better wrestler than Sonnen (on paper anyway) and more versed in submissions and striking. There was one point and time where Nate was begging to be rear naked choked. I think Hendo would have went for it. Nate lost to Silva and trained accordingly. Trained his striking in particular. But he does need to work on his bottom game. He's a great BJJ guy but on top. Needs to work his takedown defense and offensive guard. He'll still dominate the division some day imo. cutupyo
I love how everyone is butthurt and dislikes Sonnen for putting on the performance of his life and pulling out a win that has to feel good for him considering his last iffy performances. xdusty
no offense guys but this win isnt a good thing. nates style of fighting matches up with silva better then sonnens. sonnen will try to gnp silva for 5 rounds straight. sonnen doesnt have the power to posture up and ko someone so he realize on his wrestling to win decisions. needless to say, sonnen wont be able to do this successfully without a slip and without silva catching him in the span of 5 rounds. so more or less, this is a win for silva. with nate...we might have seen something. cutupyo
HAHA, so Marquardt would do better against Silva? He already lost once anyways, give it to someone else. Plus, after watching that pathetic display of his I have to say I really don't want to see Anderson actually kill him this time around.
Uwillsubmit
i dunno why people are shocked, nate doesnt really have a win over a legit guy, kampmann is the biggest name in his win colum, ive been saying hes over-rated for the longest time

guti
Lets be honest sonnen is a great wrestler but not a better wrestler than henderson and obviously not a better striker than henderson.. Like i said long ago henderson is better than marquart and i strongly belive better than sonnen.. Maybe now dana will realize he made a mistake cutting out henderson .. I see sonnen doing as much damage on the ground to anderson , however anderson long legs and better striking will still impose a big thread to sonnen.. If anderson got past henderson , i think he can get past sonnen.. Still , belford has a better chance beating anderson than sonnen does..
Uwillsubmit
Well considering what Maia did to Sonnen' date=' then what Sonnen did to Marquardt....[/quote'] sonnen has crap sub defense, even tonight he had to wait for nate to get tired and let go of the guillotine. nate is over-rated maia is rated where he should be

mmarrissey
hmmm... actually.. since i want to see Marquardt vs. Silva... and i think Belfort is going to win the belt. Marquardt vs. Silva Sonnen vs. Belfort i can live with that. then maybe Marquardt vs. Belfort. but that's alot of assumptions soooo.... i'm going to leave it there. Marquardt looked pretty good for getting dominated. I like Chael too, but if there is a re-match i still got Nate to win.
