Nate had to have misjudged Sonnen's wrestling, because I still think the guy is legit... I'm beginning to believe in Sonnen because he has stuck together some very legit wins.

Either way, stylistically, Sonnen is a problem. The only thing he lacks are the submission skills to put him away. If Lutter can get Silva down, Sonnen can.

Belfort has amazing hands but thus far, and I'm not just talking his recent "fight" with Franklin, he has seemed fairly one dimensional. I see Belfort getting frustrated by Silva's elusivity and reverting back to what he does best; fast technical striking whilst moving forward and the end being a (T)KO by Silva. Stylisticly, Sonnen has as good a chance as any to beat Silva but I do not see it happening. I think Silva will try something I have not seen in a while, baiting Sonnen for the shot and catching him on the way in with a knee or kick. Any way it goes; Belfort over Silva, Silva over Belfort and then Sonnen for who ever he fights next they will be great fights.

Is this your first Nate Marquardt fight? He has great submissions, but he's a top guy. Some guys get their BBs based 90% on defense. Not every BJJ BB is a Shinya Aoki from the guard.

I think Sonnen came in with a strong game plan, stuck to it and exectuted. Nate, who I still think is the better, more rounded fighter made the mistake of looking past his opponent. Not like that hasn't happened before and the fighter comes back better for it.

 

Sonnen has earned his title shot though with 3 dominante wins in a row against good competition. If Silva gets past Belfort, Sonnen better be working on his sub defence. Silva's 100x more dangerous from his back than Nate.

Im kind of sad that his plan worked, if he didnt talk **** about chuck, randy, coleman, and all fighters who train hard at CAMP (also i noticed he said he had a go CAMP after the fight which shows it is all a show to get people talking) he wouldnt have got a title shot cause he is a boring fighter like most wrestlers....... i hate watching wrestling and to be honest Chael will beat Anderrson if you like it or not.
