rudedogggg
I can't believe it was actually unanimous. Torres didn't do much in that 3rd round, but he did control Guillard. The striking was pretty even until the takedown and I don't see how 5 seconds of strikes when the fight is pretty much over gave him the decision. And you can see that Torres was out of the mount as the bell rang. I had Torres 29-28. And why is Guillard still in the UFC??? He had lost 3 of his last 5 UFC fights heading into this one. Is he really that much of a crowd favorite? The kid had so much potential but he gets beat by easy submissions. He's sort of a disappointment. Uwillsubmit
i scored it a draw TBH, 3rd round was close torres maintained control but did no damage, sort of like what rashad did to thiago except more effective, the more i think of how fights have been scored lately the more i feel torres won
xdusty
i forgot about this fight till just now. i was shocked they gave melvin the nod. torres and guillard were even in striking but torres had octogon control and agression the whole fight. then consider torres scored several take downs and some sub attempts. then look at melvin, he landed a few stiff jabs and a single knee that kinda hit his chest and shoulder.....that was it. i was confused on what melvin did exactly that gave him the win. rudedogggg
he's an exciting fighter... He was an exciting fighter until people realized all they needed to do was put him in a guillotine to win the fight. Tonight he did nothing. What amazed me was how lazy Guillard was. He waited until 10 seconds to go and just stood up against the ring. It looks like he could have gotten up any time how easily he just stood up with 10 seconds to go. He put no effort to try to do anything that 3rd round. I was greatly disappointed with his performance.

Denominator
Wow man, was there even a question who won that fight? This is like the Gray Maynard fight with Nate Diaz, where he knocked Diaz down 3 times and people said that Diaz won. Let's see Melvin landed multiple strikes, and vicious knees I might add. Oh, and Torres's corner should have been deducted a point for the ice fiasco, as it was obvious that their fighter was winded, and needed more time to recuperate. All Torres did was charge in and do takedowns. He got off what, ONE submission attempt (A kimura). The guy looked extremely out of place, not to mention gassed. The 1st round I could see him maybe winning, but the rest of them he was basically easy to read, and Guillard was kneeing him multiple times when he went in for a takedown. I think the ref F'ed up in not taking away a point due to Torres's corner. To me that looked like a total setup, not to mention a dangerous one, as either fighter could've had a career ending fall. I was greatly disappointed with his performance. I thought his submission and takedown defence showed tremendous improvement tonight (compared to what we normally see from him). To say he did nothing means that you were watching the fight with a blindfold on. You clearly have animosity and a strong biasness towards him for whatever reason. Perhaps you need to go check the fight out again. The only thing i had a problem with is him grabbing the cage when it looked like he was getting ready to go for a serious ride that one time. There's no telling how that that slam would of ended, but overall he did fairly well and definitely did enough to get a UD.
