The guy isn't even a good fighter, he's a good wrestler. I can't wait to see him get his head knocked square off his shoulders so we won't need to hear him speak anymore. I'm guessing he thinks if he can work up a rivalry between him an anderson they'll give him a shot. Makes him come across as a complete idiot though. I want to see Sonnen fight Silva. It'll be a good fight. Look at Henderson (round one) vs Silva - he caused problems for Silva just pushing hard at him. Sonnen just pushes forward like a machine. He knows exactly what to say and what to do. And some stupid things he says about gaurd and republican is just attention. The talk about Silva too, He?s tryin to get in their heads. He says this stuff just to get his name out there, he is actually a really intelligent person. If he fights silva for the title it will be a good fight, because he will do what most would not, try to take silva down to the ground and pound it out, much like he did to the fanboys' favorite, Nate Marquardt. Fanboys need to get over it, he won, and won convincingly. He made Nate look like he has no clue what to do on the ground, and i think he could impose his will similarly to Silva as well. As far as the top 3 or 4 in MW, i really think that Sonnen poses the biggest threat, because hes not gonna try to stand and trade punches with silva. I also see a submission in his future if he fights Silva (see Lutter, Hendo) but I don't know if he fights Belfort, I don't think Belfort has that same danger from his back that Anderson has. We all focus on his striking so much you kinda forget he is a BJJ black belt that regularly rolls with the Nogs and has proven that unlike Nat, SIlva is dangerous from his back. I agree Sonnen has a shot at Silva just because he is a guy that sticks to his game plan. He will not get sucked into standing in front of Silva ala Forrest. "his 15 min of fame are up", watever anderson has destroyed every top contender and hes going beat vitor. his stand up is just as great if not better, and andersons bjj is world class, he sub lutter and hendo and i hope he fights sonnen, sonnen has no ko power check his fight history and he just likes to lay and do alittle gnp and when he pops his arm out to do sum gnp he will get subbed! anderson is the greatest!
