wrestling_hermit
This is a fight I would actually like to see, especially with both of them coming off with little to no damage last night. Both guys have pretty heavy hands and have solid bjj. Thoughts?
slack_415
it would be a good matchup. could put either fighter into title contention
Ares9139
No, Paulo's higher up the ladder than Serra at the moment I'd say.
wrestling_hermit
No' date=' Paulo's higher up the ladder than Serra at the moment I'd say.[/quote'] I'd have to agree with this, but there's always that whole "Matt Serra, the man who upset GSP" factor (even though I think it was a fluke) and I think that would still give Thiago a win thats worth something as far as UFC title contention goes
MarkBenjamin
No' date=' Paulo's higher up the ladder than Serra at the moment I'd say.[/quote'] yea but serras comin off losses to higher competition, i think itd be interesting if the winner of this get the winner of kos and daley or fitch and alves for the top top spot

He deserved to win the title back then, and then GSP deserved to win it back after he beat Serra up.

I can guarantee he's right in the title picture now, Serra's got a while left to go before he can be back there and considering how badly he got beat by GSP the second time, the UFC aren't going to be putting him back into contention just yet. I see him fighting someone like Swick in his next fight and Thiago taking on one of the top five or at least top ten.
Zerothe
When he beat GSP he came right after him and shocked him, then you know he lost in the rematch but, AT THE TIME, I think the location of the rematch had more to do with it then most people think. Serra is good on the ground as well so I would take The Terra.
