Sick00
Just how important is personality in a fighter? Do u dislike or discredit a fighter based on personality over their skills? And sometimes it seems personality can carry a fighter beyond capabilities at times. This is something I've been trying to understand for a while now. JP24
I can tolerate certain types of attitude that you find in Sonnen or Hardy if they're actually good and can back up their trash talking, but for suckers like Kos and Tito, I hate them. KRYME
Personality can go a long way. You can be the best fighter in the world but if you're a total d-bag I won't like you. It's tolerable to a certain extent, but even if you are backing up your trash talk I still might not care for you. I personally don't care for Hardy, or Sonnen and their trash talk. Even if they do back it up. I don't care for Kos or Tito or Lesnar either. Like I said, you could be a bad fighter, but if you have class and a good attitude I'll like you. People like different things. Some people prefer the 'heel' and some, like JP24 said, can tolerate some people as long as they are not all talk. Others, like myself, just like classy, respectable fighters. -buy the ticket. take the ride.
Sick00
I guess there's such a fine line between healthy confidence and arrogance. Maintaining a positive and relevant perception must be damn tough. The way fighters interact with their fans and how they are received has always been intriguing to me. BESERKER
.. the benefit of being an emelianenko fan, is that anyone that trys picking apart his personality loses instant credibility .. as opposed to "whats his name" ?
Kable
People gain your respect by the way they act, If they have good skills aswell why not be a fan of them. In other cases you can be a fan of a fighter from a single fight or single action from the person. Majority of the fighters i like have earned it, I hate Kos though don't see the point in him even being in the UFC, even though he does have a set of skills. jng1
i love watching guys with a high level of skill, ie a. silva's stand up, maia's bjj, but no matter how good they are if they're arrogant and talk ***, mir, i will hate them. there's no need to act like that no matter how good you are, you can be the best and also be humble, it is possible.
