K22UFC
These are the three fighters that have come in and made the UFC heavyweight divsion exciting. I think that all three of them could become UFC heavyweight champion one day. I think that Dos Santos is the best of the three. He has great stand-up and great BJJ but its just that we don't see it because he likes to stand. He trains with the Nogueiras so that is proof that his BJJ is good. Who do you think is the best of the three and which one do you think will do the most in the sport?

GoToGuy
Hmm, tough to say. I haven't seen Carwin's ground game so he's out for now. Dos Santos is probably the best right now but Cain's fight with Nog will give us a good heads up on how far he has come. While I don't expect him to win if he does manage to get past Nog we may have a Cain/Santos show down.
Kable
Carwin shouldn't even be compared with Velasquez and Dos Santos.
Technique
I would like to see them fight it out to determine this. All three have been really impressive. JDS vs. Carwin would be a great fight IMO. I think Cain is a great fighter but I don't know if he is in their league yet.
deatz
Right now, Junior dos Santos.
Technique
Carwin shouldn't even be compared with Velasquez and Dos Santos. I don't agree with this. Carwin has had 3 fights in the UFC Against: Christian Wellisch Neil Wain Gabriel Gonzaga All TKO or KO in the first round JDS has had 4 fights in the UFC Against: Fabricio Werdum Stefan Struve Mirko Cro Cop Gilbert Yvel All TKO or KO in the first round except for a 3rd round TKO of Cro Cop Cain slate is not quite as impressive but he is also undefeated. I think JDS has faced arguably better competition in the UFC and that is why I chose him in this poll. Carwin on the other hand is undefeated with none of his fights making it past the first round. That's pretty dominant.

His striking was very sloppy vs Gonzaga.
slack_415
Velasquez will loose to Nogiuera, but he is still a great fighter
aleisterfiend
I agree. After Carwin vs. Mir and Velasquez and Big Nog we will see where these fighters rank in the HW division.

sepsism
JDS has the most potential IMHO. Will be interesting to see how all 3 of these guys handle top-level competition.
BreakingTheory
in my opinion JDS has been the most impressive, Carwin is a stud as well on feet and has a great wrestling back ground but we still need to see how is stamina is because he hasnt ever made it past the first round, valasquez in my opinion is legit but i would really like to see him fight somebody who also has a wrestling background like carwin becasue we seen him own ben rothwell who didnt have any takedown defense, and cheick kongo who is just a banger he also dosent have a takedown defense or any ground game and think about it valasquez was rocked by kongo then got a sloppy takedown, but like i said out of these three ide say JDS is the toughest at this point

Mazzagatti_sMoustache
Cain is SO over hyped it's actaully killing me. JDS is the real **** in this division. I would love to see JDS Vs Frank Mir.
BESERKER
velasquez vs rodrigo will answer some questions & I really need to see cigano on the ground ... carwin has never fought past 2:11 & that was his debut

Monkus
well im young but ive been watching ufc for a long time now, but IMO i think that Velasquez is going to come out with a win with Nog, and Carwin will lose to Mir, but JDS is the best of them 3 but Valasquez is right behind him and i mean right behind him
Papalazaru
My initial thought was JDS but I went with Velasquez because I think if they where to fight he would dominate JDS on the ground.

goldnuts
I think Carwin might gas. You'd think that was a pretty safe bet. Fit guy though, works real hard. Carwin is a beast. Mir vs Carwin should stay on the feet Velasquez lacks the killer knockout power but has plenty of weight to gain yet before he gets to 265. Weights weights and more weights JDS would get taken down so we need to see him on his back
MyTH_MMA
Gotta go with JDS, he has more overall skills than the other two, I also believe he has the necessary killer instinct. He's blowing up fast and will be the face of this division.
NickTF
Need to see more from all 3; obvious response I guess. So far it's close between JDS and Carwin for me relying heavily on potential I see in Carwin with JDS being the winner for me. Cain's going to have to crush Nog for me to consider him but I honestly don't see that happening. Rothwell Kongo and the rest of his past opponents are way behind Gonzaga and the others JDS and Carwin have fought.
skoopsowavy13
How is cain overrated? He's a great wrestler, has good stand up not a lot of power because he doesn't wanna give up dominant position for the extra power. If anything carwin is the most overrated of the 3 ok sure he wins fast but besides gonzaga who has his competition been? Doodoo that's who. Jds is a damn beast and is the best between the 3 and cain is close behind.
