Was Chael serious?

Agree. He obviously has some kind of personal problem with Anderson Silva by the way he's been talking mindless **** about him. The speaking perfect English thing first, not respecting his fans, saying he's an easier fight than Belfort, and then he said that **** about the country music and hip hop in the post fight interview and about how he was the real tough guy and Silva is a *****.

I'm praying for Silva vs. Sonnen so I can witness Silva shove both of Sonnen's feet into his mouth.

This.

I can only see Sonnen taking A. Silva down (Silva doesn't necessarily have the best takedown defense), but I dont see him being productive there. Silva, on the other hand, will be productive on the ground. I honestly can only see Sonnen tapping out or being knocked out.

If Vitor wins, I expect to see Sonnen switch from being a Vitor fan (as he claims) to $#!+ talking again.

I hope silva keeps his cool. fighting angry is never a good idea. if your emotions get out of control it can lead to making a bad mistake

He's apparently not very happy with Vitor, so we'll see how he does lol

-buy the ticket. take the ride.

That last fight was incredible. I got to give credit to Marquart too. After three full rounds of tough grinding grappling he still had the heart to try to finish it. One of the better fights In a while.

I truly think that if Chael can close the distance as well as he did against Marquart he has a good shot against Silva. We will see how mentally tough Silva is leading up to and during this fight. I'm really looking forward to it.

We have seen Anderson Silva destroy his opponents and that's when he respected them. Just imagine what he's gonna do to someone who disrespects him. Man being on the end of an angry Anderson beat down' date=' can't think of anything worse.[/quote']

he would humiliate him worse than forrest, i think he would go 5 rounds with him then take him out in the fifth just to prove to him that sonnen is nobody

You disrespect the whole sport, anybody Sonnen has ever fought, and downplay any future accomplishments Silva may or may not achieve in their upcoming fight by saying that Sonnen is a nobody.

Your post is infuriating. He put his heart into that fight and did extremely well. He embodied the definition of controlling your opponent and choosing where the fight went. Both him and Marquart put on a tremendous display of heart and will to win. Even after 3 full rounds of strenuous grinding they were scrambling. Nate the great never gave up.

Sonnen is a great fighter and will come with a great game plan. He will test Silva's mental toughness leading up to the fight and maybe during the fight. I'm looking forward to this because I believe Anderson is a true champion and will demonstrate it, but don't call a guy who earned a shot against the champ a nobody.

the win over marquadt was pretty convincing. he totally dominated him on the ground. though its disturbing how sonnen landed like 3 or 4 times as much as his opponent, but after the fight he looked a lot more beat up than nate.

i think sonnen deserves a title shot. but due to his lack of power (but amazing wrestling) i don't think he will do much. I think if the marquadt sonnen fight would have lasted 5 rounds, nate would have won, he seemed to have turned the tide at the end of the 3rd round. but oh well. sonnen wouldn't last very long against silva...

the other issue, is silva being 34, only wants to fight big fights and make ton of money before he retires. After vitor at MW, (if he wins) i think he should fight at least once at LHW before defending his MW title. Maybe the winner of Evans & Rampage? or maybe Shogun if he loses to Machida. Man that would be awesome.

Great first post. I completely agree. I think this fight was incredible and would have loved to have seen 2 more rounds. I also believe that the momentum had shifted and Marquart probably would have won but who knows maybe Sonnen could have done more of the same, he has great toughness.

What about Shogun vs Silva for the title....if Shogun beats machida.
