If I don't perform to my best, the whole world is going to see it ? they're going to see me fail to put up a good fight. It's my job to ensure that everything is in place for me to do my job and shock the world on the night.

Lol it seems that he is focused on putting up a good fight instead of winning.

Despite some of the hate Dan receives he really is a classy guy and a good spokesman for the sport. Should be a war between the two of them' date=' as much as I'm rooting for Dan, I still expect GSP to outclass him with the wrestling.[/quote']

I hope he has a good fight, but i think GSP will beat him down , and then they'll go out for a drink or 3 lol

I don't know how anyone could not like Hardy. He is an excellent fighter' date=' well spoken, intelligent with a great sense of humor.Too bad he is about to take the beating of his life and when they go out for a drink afterwards Hardy will need to use a straw to eat his chicken wings.[/quote']

haha, Hardy has a good chin, I don't think Hardy will get worked too bad in the stand-up, of course most of the action will be on the canvas.

Actually it seems from GSP's recent comments regarding his disappiontment with his KO numbers lately, he will school Hardy standing before deciding if he wants the TD. If anyone here believes Hardy can outstrike GSP then they need to get off the crack, now!

Lots of people say things before fights that never materialize. Once the fight starts they go back to what they're best at. For GSP that would be controlling his opponent on the ground. Both of them have credentials for striking. And I wouldn't really agree with anyone being on crack..anything can happen in a fight. No fight has a guaranteed end result.

+1...i dont see GSP making this a stand-up war either...to risky when your opponent has heavy hands,i see him testing the waters but as soon as one connects he'll take it to the ground where his comfort zone is and dominate

My thoughts exactly. Still rooting for Hardy, though.

It's a great thing to be confident, as is Hardy; it's a foolish thing to be ****y, as is Hardy.

I wish Hardy got a beter game plan then only hoping to give a good fight .

Indeed. Hardy's got a hard on for smack talk. Unless this limy's got a miracle training camp that gives him an A1A crash course on grappling, he's gonna get his freakin head torn off. N I'll we'll all watch it w/ glee.

Yeah I am a big fan of both. I don't really get why people hate on Hardy. GSP will win this I'd say' date=' although he has been caught before, and Hardy definately has heavy hands.[/quote']

Probably the reason y people hate on Hardy - n I may be wrong - is due to the fact that he's a limy d-bag with a hard on and ****y mf 'r attitude. And yet that's y so many like him too.

As opposed to a grammatically challenged xenophobe who has to call people "Limeys" because English is too difficult a word to spell.

I don't know why you hate Hardy so much. Did you even read the blog, or are you just another crybaby Marcus Davis fan? What evidence do you have to support the claim that he is a "limy d-bag with a hard on and a ****y mf'r attitude"?

The ******* remark perturbs me more than anything. It's completely irrelevant. I guess that's his attempt at a play on words using Hardys name.

read the following brainless: "Limey is an old American and Canadian slang nickname for the British, originally referring to British sailors. The term is believed to derive from lime juice, referring to the Royal Navy and Merchant Navy practice of supplying lime juice to British sailors to prevent scurvy... limey (limeys plural )Some Americans refer to British people as limeys. Some people consider this use."

Care to revise your statement bonehead?

Hey, it's all good. It's only talk. After all the Brits and Americans allied in the war to defeat the nazi's so let's not brood over some smack. We're on the same side.

lol

It's all smack talk, nothin' more. I can say that Hardy has been around longer and fought more opponents than GSP. This smack talk of him bein' the prince limey is simply a response to his smack against Marcus Davis and GSP. But again, all smack talk. The Brit's and USA allied to beat the Nazi's in WWII. We're on the same side dude.

I believe this is where some are a tad confused. GSP holds the record for most significant strikes landed in UFC history and this is not over a long career. Hardy may have what some believe are heavy hands, but when GSP says he wants to do something, based on his past record of making good on these desires, he becomes among the very best in the world at it. GSP can pick Hardy apart on the feet if this is his desire. Some here need to realize that GSP is just as proficient and deadly standing as grappling. Only noobs aren't aware of the striking ability of GSP as one of the best in the world. So given this, in what world could Hardy successfully exchange with the champ?

Well put fred, well put. These so called (noobs) have no idea of his striking ability because he's so dominant on the ground. Just because he CHOOSES to go to the ground people seem to believe he can no longer stand and bang. People tend to learn (GSP especially) from their losses and he understands that people can get caught, but it's so much less likely to get caught whilst throwing elbows from half guard. He is however conscious of his KO% in his last fight and is working diligently on improving his power so that these (noobs) will no longer state that he's a (sigh, lay and pray fighter) even though the average educated fan knows he is an amazing striker.

Firstly, I am neither brainless or a bonehead. I am well aware of the origins of the "Limey" nickname which has no relevance anymore. So I would not care to revise my statement.
