Why is Winner getting a tougher opponent than Pearson?

Actually if you think about it, Cole is a better match-up for Winner than Siver is for Pearson. Winner has better stand-up than Cole but Siver is a good grappler and could prove troublesome for Pearson. That being said, I see both Winner and Pearson pulling out the victories.

Siver is a kickboxer.

Siver is going to win with a spinning back kick, and Winner will KO miller.

I believe Siver also trained Judo or something or other..regardless he has more grappling experience than Pearson. But I agree with Winner KO'ing Miller. I think Pearson shows some promise though, I think he might take it to Siver.

I think I was thinking of Denis Stojnic(sp?)..my mistake.

IMO it is because he dident really get challanged in his last fight and ross beat a really tuff guy in aaron riley... like someone elice said the guy ross is fighting is a good grappler and they might want to test that part of his game seeing how good he was on his feet in his last fight but you can never tell what will happen in a fight he just might loose

Pearson is a brown belt in Judo, he knows what he's doing in a grappling situation.

Hm..well I'll eat some crow..but chew on this..Siver has more experience in the UFC, regardless if most of it is the losing variety. I also corrected myself in an earlier post that I was thinking of Denis Stojnic (sp?) Regardless I'm rooting for Pearson ;)

I don't think Pearsons overrated. He put on a great stand up clinic against a very tough Aaron Riley.

Winners stand up is talked about' date=' because he has great hands, even if he does let them drop a little.[/quote']

Yes he is. His ground game has never been tested. Not even on the show. If he doenst lose by submission, he'll lose by ud.

Everyone knew that he was gonna win from the lw. I just wanna see more ground game from him.

He's a brown belt in Judo and has shown some submission skills as well as destroying a tough guy standing up at 105, so he's not exactly one dimensional. There are far more one-dimensional over-hyped fighters in the UFC. I think it's wrong to call him over-rated because no-one talks as though he's the next big thing, they mainly just comment that he looks like a good fighter, a statement which has good evidence to support it.

Aaron Riley is a good opponent and it was a shame he lost. He just got beat. Even I could name a few one-dimensional hyped up fighters. But I just don't see him being a top contender.

Ehh, Andre Winner is a great striker, and Cole Miller is definitely not. I see Ross Pearson blowing through Dennis Silver. Dennis is a good striker, but he's nowhere near as big as Pearson is. Heck, Pearson is a huge LW. He's gotta weigh atleast 175lbs. come fight time.

That being said, Andre has an easy opponent last time, while Pearson did not, as another member has pointed out.

I predict a KO for Andre against Cole, and a submission by Pearson on Silver.

Cool fight, though I find Andre to be far more entertaining, due to his fast hands and great combinations.

No one said his next match was for a shot at the title...everyone is simply saying that Ross is not one dimensional and is a good up and comer. IMO he is very humble as well.
