Didn't Nick Diaz kick the crap out of Gomi ? White says Diaz won't fight in the UFC cause of his outside the ring antics. WHAT??? That big stupid wrestler Lessnar made an **** of White and of the UFC in front of millions!!! Let Diaz fight GSP, quite being a douch bag DANA!!!

Lesnar can pass a drug test though, and doesn't bail out of fights because he doesn't want to take a drug test then. Him and Tito may have controversial actions after fights. But would you rather want to employ someone who puts on a show and is an ***** after, or someone where you have to be genuinely concerned if the fight's even going to happen (or if it will turn into a no contest after.) Common sense.

And the Diaz Gomi fight was three years ago. This topic couldn't possibly fail more.

i personally am excited for gomi being added to the ufc roster ...he is always exciting has very well rounded skills, knockout power, great chin and to be honest alot of ufc ball swingers are gonna have there chins dropping to the floor when he destroys kenny florian his experience and skills rival that ony only of bj penn and if that fight happens again will be an exciting an interesting fight..which i cant say the same for the other lightweight title contenders and could be a completely different outcome this time around even with the thought that bj penn is the best he has ever been .. and also when diaz and gomi fought gomi basically beat him up for awhile then got caught in a freak gogoplata i believe it was.. diaz is a seasoned competitor and deserves the praise he has recieved

The addition of Gomi would be much bigger if he had won a couple of fights more recently. I think if his head is on right' date=' he's a threat to anyone but BJ.[/quote']

And that's the problem, we haven't seen a motivated Gomi. Imagine if this guy would actually live up to his potential?

Hadouken! Hah, yeah there's a lot of people in sports that you could say that about. No matte what sport it is, the most important aspect is the mental aspect.

Marijuana doesn't enhance your performance' date=' though. While I guess it's ok if you don't want the athletes not doing any drugs..don't try to lump them all together. It's not like he's cheating the game..only himself out of the W from the fight. ::shrugs::[/quote']

America likes to live by legends and stereotypes. If you think about it, Weed could save the country right now. Everyone likes to close their eyes and cover their ears to the truth, though.

The only way I would want to see Diaz fight GSP is so I can see him get his *** kicked.

You made a thread about Gomi and talked about Nick Diaz.

Why didn't you just make a thread about Nick?

You say the fight was three years ago, yet you make a case about Diaz testing positive in that same fight as your argument. When was the last time he failed a drug test? Ya I thought so, and I don't know where you get this **** about him not showing up to fights because he doesn't want to take a drug test, thats just stupid. However, if you want to believe everything Dana says then go ahead and be his lapdog, cause I'm sure he wouldn't say anything that wasn't true. The fact that Nick Diaz left the UFC to fight Gomi probably doesn't hold any weight in Dana's decision. Dude is just bitter that Diaz wanted to go fight Gomi and now he won't let him live it down.

Actually Blargafarg had legitimate points. I don't think it's a secret to too many people that Diaz openly admits to marijuana use:

http://articles.latimes.com/2009/apr/09/sports/sp-mma-diaz-strikeforce8

and as recently as August 09 he didn't show up for a scheduled drug test (which you can say is the equivalent of failing the test) prior to a fight and they fortunately were able to find a replacement. Obviously he wasn't avoiding a fight, but you don't pass up a pay date for anything unless there's big time issues and nothing else came of that incident.

Nick could be a big risk. I'm one of those that would love to see Nick back in the UFC, but I see Dana's position. I honestly believe Dana could care less about the Gomi fight (if indeed he were upset). Nick Diaz is one of the hottest commodities out there right now and Dana knows it. I do think the "outside the ring antics" is a cop out as Nick did go on to fight three more times in the UFC after that incident (I'm assuming he's referring to the fight with Riggs at the hospital). I think it would most definitely have to be clauses in his contract concerning periodic drug testing and no fight appearances outside the UFC. It's no different in any other sport where a star player is forbidden to ride motorbikes. It's not a selfish request you just want to protect something you have a big investment in, but they should give him top five money in whatever division he joins if they could come to terms on such a contract.

yeah. he did lose to diaz

it must suck to get beat down by a pot smoker! i mean the guy probably came into the fight all slow and paranoid, not knowing where he was or whats going on, only to kick the crap out of gomi and make him tap like a little girl!

that must totally suck. why they called it a no contest is beyond me. that shouldve been submission of the night for getting dominated by a pot smoker

Yes Lesnar makes an **** out of White and the UFC is front of millions, while he MAKES them millions. Diaz does not have that.

There's a reason why Nick Diaz fights for Strikeforce, he's second rate and feeds off of second rate "competition." Good news Nick, Nate's on his way over soon and his move to welterweight is just delaying that! Good news Lutter, another TUF winner is going to get cut and you won't have to feel as bad!
