bdewitt
Is this gonna be another short fight? Considering the fact that Carwin has never made it pat the first round because he keeps knockin people out, and the fact that Mir says his striking has been "skyrocketing" and he put Kongo away in the first, I believe it is. That being said, I wouldnt be surprised if it went to a decision. By the way, Carwin TKO 2nd round. What do you guys think?

Mir TKO 1 sec. < Obvious joke... about the sec part. 1rst round for sure.

Kongo is a better boxer then Carwin is and Mir one punched him, and Carwin doesnt exactly have the greatest chin. So I say Mir via TKO r

I dont quite know what to expect from him. Hard to pick a winner in that fight.
rhys_ufc
Hmmm i think i'm gonna go with Mir by Knockout yes that's Mir lol, i used to think 1st round KO but maybe Mir will drag him in the late rounds where Carwin is not proven. UFC 111 is just so sick! almost too good to be true

Mir TKO 1 sec. < Obvious joke... about the sec part. 1rst round for sure. There is a lot more force generated when standing and hitting someone rather than being on top of someone. That will be the difference, when Vera Rocked Mir standing, he was easily finished on the ground. Carwin will tag him standing and if that does not KO him, Carwin will give him a cou0ple more on the ground and it will be over.
SemtexOutlaw
This is one of the toughest matches to call for me in recent events....I realy think it depends on who will catch who first? (OBVIOUSLY) Carwin seems to have a solid chin though so I think he will get rocked (ala Gonzaga fight) and then come out with a counter right and lay 'big mouth' Mir out! Prediction: Carwin 1st Rnd Knock Out

Carwin will have to be fast because Mir is going to make him pay otherwise. I dont believe that Mir will lose until he fights Lesnar again. Ill say it till Im wrong, but I dont think I am. Phantom23
Mir's gonna take this one. I would definitely say that Carwin's edge is on the feet. Mir may be a more efficient boxer than Shane is, but all it takes is one, and Carwin's hands may be slow, but they're pretty accurate and obviously heavy. He could also take a page out of Lesnar's book and ground and pound Mir out due to his wrestling pedigree and titan-like strength. That being said, I think Mir submits him with some type of arm submission. As much as I like Carwin, he really isn't proven and people fail to remember that it's been a little over a year since the last time he was in the Octagon. Megasoup
It's very difficult to submit people that are freakishly strong. Kimura's are out, as are a lot of chokes. His neck is just to thick and powerful. If the armbar isn't really slick, there goes that submission as well. Is Carwin open to the leglock? We'll see. As far as Mir knocking Carwin out, I'd say unlikely, though we've all seen freakier things. We've all been wrong about our predictions as well, so let's not get too passionate about 'em. Carwin wins by KO, first round.
