Fedor vs Dos Santos

JDS couldn't hang Fedora for a couple of reasons. Experience is one, Fedor is one of the most experienced fighters out there right and would just expose JDS in every which way. Give Junior some more fights against some really good quality opponents such as Cain, Mir etc and than u can talk about Fedor.

dos santos would muffing crush him. i bet fedor saw the fight too. he is afraid of em. he knows the ufc has the best heavys. cain, or jds i think you give fedor the fight of his life. maybe brock and shane too. brock is a long shot long. but he could.

I'd have to disagree. I can't believe how little credit JDS gets for all he has accomplishmented in the UFC to date, I mean look at him, Cain and Carwin, the three up and comer's in the HW, whose list of opponents is most impressive. Unlike Cain and Carwin, JDS has never really been in trouble in any of his fights (ref Carwin vs Gonzaga; Cain vs Kongo).

Point being I think JDS would stand just as good a chance if not better, he trains with Big Nog who has had three previous fights with Fedor and would have insight that many other fighters would not.

JDSs time is right now.

It would be a shame to let FEdor age out without getting this fight done.

I would agree with that statement, Fedor needs to fight the best of the UFC HWs, finally putting to rest the constant pickering that consumes probably 50 percent of this forum. And it needs to happen now! In a few years the excuses will start flying around about how he's past his prime...

GOOD QUALITY OPPONENTS??? Mir is not good Quality im more than sure he alone could beat fedor standing or on the ground. Fedor is overrated he was good along time ago now he is fighting chumps.

I wouldn't mind seeing this fight either...But Im sorry guys but I think Fedor would expose JDS. I also don't think JDS is ready for Fedor but it would be a fight to see..Fedor would probably sub JDS in the first round...I like Dos Santos but lets be honest....JDS is a guy with KO power...Thats all great except Fedor has never been KO'ed. It is almost the same as putting a JJ Fighter against Randy Couture. Couture has never been submitted so obviously the JJ guy wouldn't submit him...Its the same case here...Fedor has never been KO'ed...why would he now? So take away JDS' Punching power and what is left....Fedor would stand triumphant...don't kid yourself guys.

Dude' date=' Mir and Carwin together in their careers haven't fought as many top opponents as Dos Santos has fought in the last 6 months![/quote']

Bro, not for nothing but I feel the new and more dedicated Mir would take JDS out and if it went to ground, it would be over quick with a submission. Even Brock would give JDS trouble in a match. The stand-up is where JDS would own Brock, but that is only one aspect of the game. Brock would take JDS down with ease and pretty much end it there, not to mention he outweighs JDS by close to 50lbs. Fedor is just a different animal all together.

Very well said.

Cigano is the next big HW champ........he and Cain might have a nice rivalry over the next 2-3 years for that top spot.

Santa brings the presents kiddies. Bang on man. Unless Junior landed early and big, Fedor would expose his limited skillset.

Junior needs to round out some more before I'd have him on any sort of equal level with Emp. And I friggin love Junior.

Absolutely Bro...Cigano possesses some dangerous firepower but without a strong skillset the Emp would demolish him. I do agree with your other post though...Cigano will be a future UFC champ...It is just a matter of when.

Mir has literally no chance aginst JDS.

I see that one as a massacre.

Cain is probably the only UFC HW I would even a chance to.

Carwin' date=' Mir, Cain, Lesnar....theres some for him

Fair enough Fedor will beat each and everyone of them....but still[/quote']

But none of those guys has a chance aginst JDS.

Its like LHW now. Jones beats everyone with the possible exception of MAchida.

JOnes and JDS are both the number one ranked onctenders by me.

What more proof do you want?

DO you really think anyone but Cain has even a chance?

JDS's standup is crisp. The only HW fighter that I know of that can move like that is Andrei Arlovski. I haven't seen his ground game yet. But if he does have any kind of ground game, this would pose a real threat to Fedor. However, Fedor has proven he can beat Strikers, Grapplers, and wrestlers at their own game. This would be a great match up. But I give the edge to Fedor.
