joshdfs
I am so through with this forum. It is just no longer worth the effort and exhaspiration of digging through page after page of complete idiocy in order to discuss the sport I love with other knowledgable and intelligent people. The day after any event always brings the morons out of the woodwork who do all they can to show that they have absolutely no idea what the hell they are talking about. Kongo is a coward for not standing and banging with Buentello Irvin is a coward for quitting after getting punched in the eye Jon Jones completely dismantling Vera and crushing his face was not impressive. JDS beating Gonzaga means nothing. And THREE seperate threads complaining about commercials during one of the best free fight cards ever on TV. Why has it become fashionable to discredit opponents rather than give credit for great performances? Why does Werdum beating Gonzaga make him a legit top 5 HW in some eyes yet JDS doing it even more convincingly means nothing? Why does Rashad or GSP utilizing wrestling for control and grinding out a points win make them smart competitors who do what they need to do to win but Kongo doing the exact same thing--- oh yeah, not exactly HE FINISHED--- make him a coward? Most comments from ignoramouses make it obvious some peole have never trained, been in, or even spent much time watching a real fight. Idiocy abounds on this forum and I for one am full of it. It is just no longer worth the frustration for me. We got a glimpse of the future in the UFC tonight and the majority of new threads this morning are complaints, negative remarks, and total lunacy from wrassling turds and ignorant "fans" who have seen TUF a few times and figure chicks are into it so they should act likewise, and know nothing about the technical or any other aspect of MMA. My ego is not so self inflated that I believe anyone cares, but I just had to let my thoughts and feelings be known before I close this book, at least for a few weeks until I can stomach the useless morons a little better than currently. I know the idiots aren't going any where, and will probably get worse long before it gets better due to the still relatively young nature of the sport in the States and the nature of the American sports fan, but I just have to give it a rest for a few weeks. If you know me and we have talked before, I will be back, but as of now, I am outta here!

UFCExcession
It's OK the morons come out in numbers after the free events (and Brock fights) They will disappear again next week once they have to pay to watch. It was a decent card though a little too easy to predict the results (although they way those results came about was unexpected at times). Jon Jones is right up there now - I think he'd take anyone in LHW except Rua/Machida pretty easily. He looked a lot better than Rashad/Thiago and would surely give Couture a battering. Problem is how can they spin out Couture's 6 fight contract (ending with a title shot I assume) and avoid him facing Jones in the meantime? I think they might have to have Jones fight the winner of Rua/Machida with Couture fighting for the title the fight after that in his swansong..unless of course Rua wins and Andersen wants to fight for the title first JDS looked pretty convincing too - there is another man with a title shot this year in his future I think.. Screw that Couture vs Jones all the way! That is the best idea for a fight I have heard all day. I never felt Vera was a true test for Jones....but Couture Is. If Jones can survive 3 rounds of Randy's Wrestling skills or if Jones can KO Randy then he is for real. I already think Bones Jones is a great fighter...but throw him against Couture. Couture is the ultimate test for a future champ.

Smart fight by Kongo and I'm not a fan of either fighter. Kongo knew he needed a win badly and he executed a good plan. CaptainUgly
I hope you guys dont think I'm an idiot I respect this sport and totally love it! since ufc 1 I have been hooked. I am pretty aware of the solid fighters and those that just arent at top level but are more of the less fillers for events so they dont have to spend major coin to put on the show. I was very impressed with JDS and I look forward to seeing him fight some more top notch fighters to see just how good he really is. I was also impressed with jon jones for being able to hurt vera like he did to end it. I had a feeling that he would win but you cant count vera out because he is a decent fighter but the only way someone is going to win the heavyweight is for them to be bigger then 240lbs cause its big boys now cutting to make the 265 limit . causisaysso
I also find it hard to get enthused about these forums. Just a lot of spewage about which UFC fighters posters like or dislike. Who should fight who next. What the latest results mean. I mean, it's all pointless considering Stone Cold Steve Austin can beat the crap out of any of them anyway. JP24
Why does Rashad or GSP utilizing wrestling for control and grinding out a points win make them smart competitors who do what they need to do to win but Kongo doing the exact same thing--- oh yeah' date=' not exactly HE FINISHED--- make him a coward? If you know me and we have talked before, [b']I will be back[/b], but as of now, I am outta here! Temper tantrum?

I think there was even a thread about the "Coolest Senior Member," and I said you always had a good head on your shoulders.
