i mean i know i sure as hell dont think so. he might have a punchers chance but that's all.

does anybody here really believe he will successfully pull off an upset? odds are probably something like 9:1 for GSP i bet.

i hope hardy wins , it will be tuff..but nothing is impossible..we all knw gsp game plan..lets see what dan hardy has in store

He will loose but at least he will take it like a man .

I dont think we gonna listen lie and false accusation like BJ Penn did .

Seriously I think when Hardy loses he will and not try to pull a BJ and cry like a baby for months later.

Also pretty sure Hardy doesn't need his mommy to defend him.

I don't mind Hardy at all I just don't think he has a chance against GSP.

for god sake man...it wasnt bj penn only' date=' the fact is gsp did grease in the fight...sean sherk said the same thing when he fought him...and matt hughes[/quote']

im sure the vaseline on gsp's shoulder mustve really helped his fists destroy BJ in standup in the first round. i really dont think it had much of an effect in the outcome of the fight as he had no problems whatsoever beating up his fists with BJ's face, over and over again.

I was talking about the steroid ' date=' hormone , pills to be more slippery lie .[/quote']

BJ is a fool and everytime he opens his mouth he just proves it everyone.

People respect his skills inside the cage, not his BS he spews outside of it.

well..it did..he couldnt use the rubber gaurd on gsp because his was 2 slippery..he couldnt control him on the ground..it was easy 2 escape move around..anyway thats the past...bj penn is a new fighter now and in 2010 ull see him fighting for the welterweight championship

I think it's time to let it go bobilator....i read in another thread that you said that BJ wont let it go but it seems like you won't either. This thread had NOTHING to do with BJ....

But anyway no Dan Hardy will lose I cant say how but he will, either that or he's gonna have to knock GSP out.

I also agree on Vaseline thing with GSP. Several fighters said he was extraordinary slippery during the fight.

As for this extremely stupid thread, did author think all the people, that believe in Hardy and posted their thoughts on the fight in several different threads, were joking? Man, how stupid you have to be to start a thread like this...

Of course i believe Hardy can win this fight. I will even go as far, since this thread pissed me off, and say it: if Serra pulled it off, believe me Hardy can do it much easier.

No one can know for sure what will happen but i think that people are counting Hardy out too easily. Just because he's not such a big name in the UFC doesn't necessarily mean that he stands no chance and although his UFC wins were not too spectacular, can anybody say that recent GSPs' were? I consider Hardy a very tough, skillful, intelligent and confident fighter and i doubt that GSP thinks different.

Waaaaaar Hardy!

Cheers

no Serra already took that.

Not quite... GSP wasnt as good a fighter when he took on Serra and has learnt lessons from that defeat.

Im not saying Hardy will win and certainly wouldnt put any money on him but I think he is going to surprise a lot of people on Saturday night.

Hardy can't claim the biggest upset ever simply because it has been done so already.

Because GSP lost to Serra how he did, he is simply making sure it will never happen again.

ya bj is one hell of a fighter in the cage but he should shut his mouth and be humble when he gets defeated.

he got outworked, outclassed, and gsp was simply too much for him to handle and any excuse he tries to justify in his mind does not change the fact that he got completely dominated.

so gsp had a little grease on his shoulders before the fight? so what? they noticed it before the fight even started and wiped it off. its not going to make a difference four rounds later when your all beat up and sweaty and decide to throw in the towel. and as for steroids...they test for that after every fight and last i checked, gsp was clean

BJ should simply just suck it up and admit defeat to the better fighter. if he really has to make excuses, maybe he should talk to Tito for advice, cause steroid accusations and a bit of rubbed off vaseline will not help the cause

For me I dont think it would be a shock whatsoever, however I think the majority of Canadian and Americans have totally written Hardy off as GSP is now 'invincible' therefore for the majority of UFC fans they would regard it as a bigger upset.

No that is called HYPE.

On paper he does'nt have a chance.

In reality everyone has a chance against anyone.

People are going by known facts and hyping it up, that's all.

GSP is going to dominate Hardy. It will NOT go to a decision. GSP will finish him round 2.

Hardy has more of a chance than Maia or Edgar do...but no, I don't think he will win. Seriously, Hardy may have "knockout power," but he's only finished one of his four fights in the UFC so far. GSP is gonna take him down and GNP him until the ref calls it.

I think Hardy will put up more of a fight than most think, but will fail in the end as anyone would in that division right now. I admit for some reason I reallly want Hardy to KO him I love Hardy and his attitude...He's extremely smart and I think he has got into GSP's head a little bit...BTW I will also say i remember watching a interview somewhere where a person said Hardy told him he was a real MMA geek and reads alllll the underground sites and forums...so my guess is he probably reads all these threads, Now if we could only get him to start participating...How sweet would that be.

I whole heartily believe that Hardy will get the win and expose GSP for the hack he is.

how is he a hack please? he only beat all the top ranked WWs in the world....oh wait no Dan Hardy did that.

Gono, Davis, Swick, Markham.....those are the top ranked guys in the world right?

Ya, B.J. was clearly just making **** up because he lost. He just happened to say the same **** that Matt Hughes, Sean Sherk, and Jason Miller all said about the same fighter. None of these guys ever said **** about anyone else being slick, just Grease St. Pierre, but hey... they're probably lying. I mean hey, I even watched the fight and saw GSP's trainer rub that **** all across his chest and upper back, but obviously that meant nothing, because GSP is flawless and dominated him.

The best part about all of this **** is they changed the rules after this fight not allowing any cornermen to apply grease at anytime. Haha, I mean why change the rule if it had no affect on the fight at all. Either way, these GSP fans will remain stubborn until the day he retires, so **** it.

"It definitely wasn't fair for Mr. Penn" - NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer ... Well good thing you didn't do **** about it Mr. Kizer.

Hardy does have a chance to catch him with a punch. The chances may not be that good but he does have good hands. St. pierre is a very well rounded fighter himself though. Chances of Hardy winning are slim to none. I would say St. Pierre is the second best pound for pound fighter in the world right now. Right behind Anderson Silva.

I'd have to say that Hardy may pose more of a threat to GSP than GSP's prior opponents..My reason for this is because Hardy is definately not afraid to throw a punch, and Hardy is also not buying into the hype that surrounds GSP. The hype that surrounds GSP is much deserved by all means, but I think some of his opponents have let the hype get to them and throw them off their game plan going into the fight.. If GSP is able to take Hardy down at will, then this fight will go to GSP, but if Hardy can find a way to keep it standing, then Hardy very well may leave with the belt.
