I mean he did suck last night.

I mean if he was half a worth a **** he might have been able to do something.

Instead he got exposed harder than Forrest Griffin, and had his man hood taken from him for 5 rounds.

5 whole damn rounds and we all blame Anderson. If Maia was worth a crap that wouldn't have happened.

Maia sucked at the stand up. Did anyone expect any different?

Silva beat him standing for 2 rounds and I do not doubt everyone expected that.

The joke is still on Silva, because Maia still came at him to fight even with one eye closed shut, and in the end Silva looked stupid.

Seriously? yes Maia was clearly out classed but was also the aggressor when your chasing someone the entire fight that is literally running away from you and has a much longer reach then you what do you expect? It's very dangerous to come running up on a striker as good as Silva and Maia had the nerve to do it a couple times... Out classed yea but not worth a crap? Come on man what fight did you watch?

Which one did you watch? Silva wasn't running scared, he was taunting.

most everyone already knew maia couldnt beat silva. maia gets my respect for not being a little girl like leites and laying on the ground for five rounds. sure he sucked' date=' but he took his beating like a man.[/quote']

I will admit I thought Maia could take this one. I used to think that MMA favored grapplers, but if all you are known for is your ground game, a striker need only worry about your takedown attempts to neutralize you.

Where exactly did I say "running scared?" hmmm I believe I said "running" whether taunting or not when someone is running it is hard to hit them even if they arn't so elusive like Silva. Read first then if I said something stupid let me know but don't bother if you don't even read the post first.

Yes, when the fans are screaming Maia after the fight, Anderson looked bad.

If Silva is the "P4P" best in the world than he should have taken it to the ground and proved he is p4p the best. But he's not cuz Fedor is! That dude fought Big Nog on the ground for the whole fight TWICE!

The Last Emperor is the Best MMA fighter in the world...PERIOD! **** Silva he's the ***** for not going to the ground with him!

First off Maia shoudn't of had a title fight in the first place.

His record is impressive but hes one dimensional.

The first 2 rds were VERY entertaining....was Silva show boating....yes but he was landing strikes! The spider's movements were poetry in motion in a weird way.

If Maia wasnt so one dimensional, he would have been able to coutner Spider's tactics.

That being said..from 3rd rd on was a joke and I found myself suddenly routing for Maia.

I dont want to see Silva/GSP.

I want to see Silva fight Machida or Shogun. I dont care which one.

I still think Maia on his knees swinging for the fences was still one of the most epic moments of the night. I mean come on' date=' who wasn't hoping he would knock Silva out at that point? (Besides all the kids still swinging on Silva's nuts for some reason)[/quote']

+1 I was hoping

Maia's standup has actually gotten a lot better. But Silva's striking is just on a whole nother level and he always has that vast reach difference.

The reason we ain't *****ing about Maia because he wasn't the one acting like a spoiled little brat.

Only thing Silva accomplished with that fight was bringing his legacy down and people losing a ton of respect for him.

I saw a Jiu Jitsu guy stand up with a Muay Thai specialist for five rounds. I saw that whenever Maia went to take it to the ground or was on his back, Silva paniced and tried to get away (even though he was SOOO upset about his black belt being questioned). I saw Silva trying to provoke Demian into being reckless and coming after silva in the stand up. etc. Maia should have stolen that fight. Especially with Silva doing absolutely nothing in the last two rounds and fading in the third.

I saw the best fighter in the world Clown Maia. I saw Anderson SIlva's hand raised at the end of the fight. I saw Silva at the press conference with the belt in front of him. I went to Sherdog to look at SIlva's record and saw that it said he defeated Maia by Unanimous decision.
