The winner of Rampage vs Evans...

Should fight Anderson Silva instead of Shogun! Think about it after the Griffin fight Anderson's Aspirations for the light heavyweight belt kinda faded. Instead there was the talk about fighting GSP at a catchweight.

The idea of Silva fighting either Evans or (especially) Rampage is to me much more exciting then the match against Sonnen later this year. Furthermore if he wins from either one the potential superfight between Rua and him would be one of the most spectacular fights ever displayed (2 brazilians, both muay thai specialist, both great ground game, both respectable champions/legends in their weightclasses).

So Evans/RAMPAGE vs A. Silva (Rampage vs Silva being the brawl of the decade)

winner vs Shogun

I do not think people reaalise when it comes to fighting Anderson Silva at 100% is unbeatable. He will never be involved in a war because no man will be able to hit him often enough and will not be able to take the many shots coming back at them ,Even a dude like Rampage, Rua would not stand a chance if Silva went up to LHW

You've been watching too many movies - no man is unbeatable, Maia was catching Silva and his stand up is nowhere near Rua, Rampage or Evans.

I would love to see Rampage vs Rua 2 for the LHW title - that would shut up the people that think Pride stars suck in the UFC.

2 PROBLEMS

1. If the rampage vs rashad winner fights Anderson silva then who will rua fight? We cant have him sitting around not defending the belt for that long.

2. Anderson needs to defend his MW title. Unless he vacated it, but then who would Sonnen fight to see who gets the belt? Belfort is out for a while. The only candadate i can think of is Wandy, he is fighting Akiyama, and he doesnt deserve a title shot yet.

I think ufc should stick to the plan. Rampage/rashad winner takes rua, silva fights Sonnen

Though I'd still rather see them fight Anderson instead of Sonnen, he'll get smacked around with his standup capability atm

no man is unbeatable. but i don't think the maia fight should be used as a measuring stick for silva. silva was clowning in that fight because he knew maia could never hurt him striking. if he was fighting someone who's striking he respected he would bring it. and personaly i think in a stand up fight he'd beat just about anyone in the UFC.

of the three fighters you mentioned rashad could win a decison or TKO personaly i wouldn't bet on it silva's guard is too good i don't hink rashad could pound him out and the longer the fight go's on i would think silva would catch him before 5 rounds.

shogun could submit him if he could take him down which is questionable. shogun has quality striking personaly i don't think its half as good as silvas. he might have a slight edge on power but silva has speed, acuracy, and variety. he'd also have a conciderable reach advantage.

rampage can knock anyone out if he lands a clean shot. he has a punchers chance but it would be like sera V GSP 1 if that happened. silvas striking is too varied, too fast too technical and too acurate. he could also power slam him and TKO him. i think he'd have a better chance of getting the TKO than rashad.

i dont think the winner of the rampage/rashad fight would take

the fight with anderson, because the winner will get a title shot

regarding anderson fighting at LHW will have to wait i think,

he needs to fight sonnen who he will destroy IMO and then fight

belfort which everyone is waiting for, if he wins both fights then

he should get a title match against either gsp or shogun

This!!! ........and besides.....A Silva is going to be pre-occupied trying to get a rematch with Sonnen after he loses his belt!!!

Well 2 points - A Silva's clowning in the Maia fight makes the fight look 10x worse that it probably actually was on Maia's part, I mean not many fighters would prepare for their oponent to be dancing around like a clown, I dare say Shogun could do the same and his oponents wouldnt know what to do with him and would look quite bad, my 2nd point is Shogun has just beaten teh most allusive fighter in the UFC and landed on him a lot in their first fight also

Ok seriously Brock lesnar isnt the best fighter in the world

Frank mir normally puts himself on the ground brock never takes him down

Frank mir vs brock 2 Frank did a flying knee and put himself on the ground

i cant belive any body like brock lesnar i couldnt belive he is on the cover of UFC 2010 and not anderson silva. also people want to see GSP tear up brock leasner at wrestling

Brock can get beat by Shane Carwin because Wrestling isnt the only style in UFC or MMA at all you have to know how to stand up and all the fights with Mir vs Lesnar in them Mir killed lesnar till it went to the ground. Carwin knocked Frank out

based on what i know my victory in UFC 116 Carwin will win

the winner of that fight isnt confirmed getting a title shot. depends on how impressive their performance is. i think the winner of that fight vs winner of jones/matyushenko for number 1 contender spot. jon jones is on a huge rise in the ufc so he should get a title shot soon, and if matyushenko beats him that would be a pretty big upset and he would steal all his momentum.

+1 my point exactly, Shogun vs A.Silva would be a far more interesting and exciting fight to watch. Looking at GSP I just don''t see him controlling a fight against Silva, he's just to small for him. Meeting up at a catchweight wouldn't make a difference, Silva has superior reach and striking skill on him and would totally pummel him. George should focus on his Welterweight legacy, he doesn't need to prove himself against guys who fight a weightclass higher. Furthermore we've already seen a superfight between him and Penn in the past, I'd rather see Silva clash with the light heavyweight or even heavyweight champion.

Yes here it is Anderson Silva would murder GSP in a "Superfight" because of the size difference alone never mind the skill .This is the only reason GSP won his other superfight, The fact that he is a big Welterweight who was fighting a LW who could realistically drop to 145.
