UFC shouldn't be lying to its fans

Shane Carwin has not TKO/KO'd everyone in all his fights, several have been submissions. Commercial lies. And it's sad, too, cause someone who had both submissions AND knock outs finishing all his fights in the first round is a lot more impressive than only KOs or submissions, yet you think the fans are too dumb to know what a submission is or that a well-rounded skill set is better than being one-dimmensional KO-artist.

Commecrial on ESPN 5 mins ago said "all by knockout".

hmm the one I saw as on Spike, and the Score during the WEC event.

Maybe with channels MMA fans watch they go with the truth, with ones where casual fans might be watching they shovel the BS on a bit thicker?

If you look at the fight cards carefully it happens quite a bit. They had Mcsweeney's record at 15-6 or something like that, when he was 4-4 now 4-5 lol.

It's surprising because Dana has previously ragged on Boxing for having guys go 50-0 by fighting nobodies. So why would he turn around and pad peoples records on his fight cards?

II don't understand how anyone's record is being padded here.

It would be easy to not lie and still build him up as a KO-artist, if that's the angle they want to go to pull in the uninitiated.

They could have done something like "knockout after knockout, no one has survived a single round against Carwin"

The commercial I saw yesterday said "12 wins with all 12 finished in the 1st rd" not the old 12 KO one.

theres 2 different commercials 1 saying all finishes nd 1 sayin all knockouts, but yea i think its pretty dumb that its mixed martial arts yet they hype up every fight to be a standup war

Carwin is 6'2 and they said he was 6'5, they changed it to 6'4 and now it is 6'3, Brock is 6'4 they changed his height to 6'3 they just want them to look the same size.

I don't understand what you don't understand lol. Mcsweeney's record is not 15-6. It's 4-5. By telling us his record is 15-6 its padding his record and blatantly lying to us.

His submissions are people tapping due to strikes which is kinda tha same thing as a TKO.

They are not lying because all his wins in the UFC are by Knockout but before the UFC he had some subs so they sneak the truth into the promo but in a misleading way.

The god damn commercial says "12 wins, all of them by knockout in the first round" Note: he hasn't fought 12 times in the UFC, right?

It is a lie, plain and simple.
