...the more sophisticated the opponent the more sophisticated the game, so if he was so good and a champ and all why was his last 4 fights been against no bodies...jardines past 4 fights have been rampage, t.silva, bader and hammil not a easy mountain to climb there and marshals past 4 fights have been agasint who 2 of them dont even have wiki pages and the one keith barry comes up as an irish illusionist and the one that had a wiki page has one notable win against kacey uscola and one notable loss to rashad so how was he growing...

Ya, his fightds outside of the WEC have been pretty weak. But he was still a solid LHW champ in WEC. I'm sure he could realistically compete well half of the LHW outside of the top 10 in the UFC. Not only that, but he finishes fights, which Dana is supposed to like. He's not gonna be a contender or anything, of course.

I'm really curious why he left WEC, too. Wonder if he's ever been asked/interviewed about it.His ground game was terrible but his stand up is pretty good.

He didn't get cut' date=' he left. The real question is why Keith Jardine is in the UFC with four straight losses, yet someone like Elliot Marshall gets cut with a split decision loss and four wins.[/quote']

That's another good question. Even his loss wasn't exactly a decisive one. But where is your proof he(marshal) chose to leave?

He didn't get a contract offer when the WEC LHW division was absorbed into the UFC. So he didn't really get cut, he just didn't get picked up.
