they sell lots of tickets easily

and bring a new fan base to MMA

more fans = more money

it makes business sense

lashley has got wrestling pedigree at least

tbh batista might get a few wins

just because of his size

fake wrestling or not that guy is very strong and hes gonna hit hard

put him up against someone with experience then obv hes gonna lose

but hes getting on abit and probs wants to make abit of cash so he can retire and hes probs sick of traveling around doing WWE shows

big name MMA fighters earn quiet abit

first they sign Bobby Lashly who had mma experience' date=' now they sign Batista who has no mma just to sell some tickets lol whos next? Hogan?[/quote']

Are you forgetting who the UFC HW champ is?

Getting sick of all the Strikeforce hate on this forum, sure the UFC is the premier league of MMA but the other guys put on good shows and need to be supported for the sport to continue growing.... rant over!

G*d, I hope not. don't get me wrong, I'll understand if someone gets busted for rigging a match. Boxing has ahd some examples of bribes and fixed matches. But if Batista's coming on board because he can fake a win or loss, this is going to be a sad time for the MMA. It's having a hard time as is trying to be a legitamite sport. A scandal of acting in the octogon will have every network turning down the fights. You'd have to look for it through these chat forums and hope you can get it on ppv or that a fan will record it and broadcast on his webpage. The way it has had to be done when soccer lost it's popularity. If acting in the octogon ruins this, we're gonna hve no choice but to settle with local mma heroes and special order oversees fights. Sucks huh.
