Lesnar to Batista: "Get in line wannabe"

Brock's right.. Batista is trying to jump on this bandwagon for a couple pay days.. Batista isn't trying to really accomplish anything in this sport like Brock is. Batista just wants to use his big name for a few big pay days and then call it a day. Brock shouldn't catch any heat for calling him a wannabe.

If Batista has a problem with it, he can work his way into the UFC and tell Brock how he feels about his comments inside the Octagon.

Wow' date=' a Brock fan that can spell!? And Clax, it's true but Brock was that guy just a little over a year and a half ago[/quote']

You mean a 41 year old man with no experience in wrestling, boxing, muay thay, karate, judo, BJJ, or any single part of MMA?

Nope. That's not really Brock.

Thing is, Brock wasn't trying to milk the sport when he got into it. He said right off the bat, that he didn't want any easy fights, he wanted to be thrown into the line of fire right away.

He decided it was all or nothing. He didn't want to go through a build up process, which is why he got a shortcut to the title. He beat legit opponents in his first few fights, and in my opinion was robbed in the first fight with Mir. Usually refs will give you atleast 1-2 warnings, "watch the shots to the back of the head." There was none of that, Mazagatti stopped the fight, and took a point at the first baby tap to the back of Mir's head.

If you have ever watched Dave Batista...he moves alot better then Brock 41 years old or not....hes bigger.....and if you have ever heard him speak ...alot more intelligent.

The guy carries very little body fat and would struggle to make it down to 265 lbs.

Brock on the other hand carries some body fat and is just a straight ahead wrestler with not much side to side agility......

Brock is Great in his own mind...but after July 3rd he will have been tapped by Frank Mir and KOed by Carwin in 5 fights in the UFC.....and reality will set in.

Listen to him talk he is not a MMA fighter....he is a wrestler dabbling in MMA (BJJ, Boxing, kickboxing) Carwin will show him it takes alot more then a 2000 NCAA championship (10 years ago) to compete with the UFC elite!

This may be the most **** post I've ever seen. I am, by no mean, a Brock fan but to say that he is less athletic than a 41 year old science experiment who walks like a stiff action figure is ridiculous.

You my friend are a ****.

Its good for buisness. Get it through your head. He makes waves. He gets people interested. He speaks his mind, and people listen. He drums up more publicity and interest in his fights because of the things he says. Every other day its another quote with another article, and another million people talking about what he said. So what if you dont like him, your talking/thinking about him. The ufc is a BUSINESS first and foremost. Do you think dana gives a flying fck how classy he is? He probably encourages as much **** talking as possible. Have you ever seen a primetime or countdown show? Think how interested people got about rampage vs rashad, and how mad they where it wasnt a slug fest. Its good for business, so get used to it and stop crying about it.

Oh, and maybe you should get over the wwe thing. Its a little played out by now isnt it? How many people must he beat before you will consider him a ufc fighter first and a wwe entertainer second? And how does it even matter if he was in the wwe in the first place?

Yeah Dana taking him backstage and forcing him to issue an apology for his antics is great encouragement.

You do realize that most people who enter mma have one main discipline, right? This is becoming less and less true, but many people who first enter mma have one primary martial art. Over time they learn the others, but keep in mind this isnt boxing. IT takes years and years to become high level in these martial arts. He was a wrestler, and he hasnt been fighting long enough to be a top level guy in any of the other areas of mma. So trying to knock him for that makes little to no sense.

You guys are taking this waaaaay out of proportion.

AK posted the links to the conference call Brock where said it. It was Brock and Shane Carwin on different phones taking questions from all kinds of journalists. One guy asked Brock his opinion of Batista getting into MMA. Brock basically said everyone and their dog wants to become a fighter. The interviewer could've said "anyone just starting in MMA" and Brock would've called them a wannabe. Basically, Brock wanted to talk about his fight, not some other guy just starting MMA. It was a pretty long conference call, both Brock and Carwin didn't have time to b.s. about Batista. Another "in the moment" with Brock.

Taking a crack at a major sponsor is a little bit different now isnt it? I did you really think the two things were related at all? Im saying dana encourages **** talk and things like that that peak peoples interests and up the ratings and ppv buys. Brocks comments get attention and breed interest. He is a character, and characters make him money. Disrespecting a sponsor does not. Get it?

This.

People just use any excuse to bash on him. Sure he was rather short / rude about the hole thing, but brock is a candid individual.

More than 3

lol. Still though I really dont understand how him being in the wwe is even an issue. How does that even matter? How is it even relevant? Its not like he is the only person inthe ufc who talks crap, or showboats in the octagon. He isnt doing anything that plenty of other fighters dont do, but somehow people have this huge spotlight on him being in the wwe. As if being in the wwe somehow detracts from his acomplishments.

His Division 1 fights were all scripted

I'm with you on this one, it's like being from the WWE means he can't fight.

Anyone remember what Herring said before their fight? Something along the lines of "I'll show this fake fighter what real fighting is"

brock.gif

I guess this is what he meant ;)
