LT_Chaos
Can any of you fine gentleman(or ladies?) explain to me what "WAR*Insert fighters name* means? What's the history behind it? To me it seems kind of counterproductive to what most people are trying to say. It sounds like they are declaring war on that certain fighter, when they are actually trying to support them by saying it. I guess you can say I just don't get it. WAR UFC FORUM!! EDIT: DR wins! (Unless anyone thinks they can top this superb explanation?) It's a ****ing lame and annoying thing young people do to sound cool..because they saw other people in Sherdog etc doing it. That said...it started on Jim Rome's radio show in So. Cal. Just a stupid catchphrase that people started repeating. Cheers -DR

LT_Chaos
It means you want that fighter to kick some **** I kind of figured that much. I was just interested in where it came from. It's such a random term that I figured it must have had some super amazing backstory behind it.

KingZerxst
It is used to support a fighter. My belief is that it could have started with Fedor because it rhyme, but i could be wrong. (example: WAR FEDOR! would be used to support him. later, the community members who origionaly posted this will say, 'I said from day one WAR WERDUM!') I guess I could make a thread on whether or not the ref should have stopped the Lesnar/Carwin fight. That's never been done.
