Why not' date=' he was ranked #9 and defeated the guy who has been atop the top 10 since March 2003. I say its earned, I know he lost to JDS, but JDS didnt beat Fedor.........Werdum did![/quote']

Fedor isn't that great anymore! He looked horrible against Rogers and lost to Werdum. He may have been the greatest heavyweight in his PRIDE days, not anymore..

But he is 14-4 and I don't see someone on a 3 fight win streak deserving a top spot especially when one win was against an absolute terrible Mike Kyle and one against Big Foot Silva who has never been tested among top competition until that fight. I would say fourth or fifth

How can you have Werdum over JDS? and Overeem is looking good but give him more time, with better competition before he's ranked over JDS and Mir

Cause there's better fighters lol. Haha that's like saying Frankie Edgar's the #1 lightweight :P

Carwin? just wait him out 5 minutes.

Fedor? he just beat him

Velasquez? well if he wins the title he'll be the next #1.

I don't see anyone who can be put at #2 besides him.

The LW rankings should be:

Melendez

Edgar

Penn

Aoki

Florian

Umm Cain, who KO'd Nog, which Fedor couldn't. Carwin who, despite losing, looked great in the first round and has beaten some top competition and dominant in every one of them. JDS, who folded Werdum like a lawn chair. Even Mir, who has lost 2 out of his last three. Fedor is not that great anymore. Get over it.

EDIT: PS I was just joking about Edgar lol cause i saw your avatar.

Cain: if he beats Lesnar he'll be #1, if he loses he'll stay at #5.

Carwin: he was #3 before, you don't move up because you lost.

JDS: yea you can make a case for him.

Mir: you're retarded.

I'm a Lesnar fan  check out the sig lol.

P.S. you're an **** lol.

Haha Carwin was #2 before, IMO. Mir is still a beast. He just needs a better strategy.

PS I know :)

Even as #2, when someone wins and you lose, you don't stay ahead of them.

Mir is going to lose to Rodrigo :P

PS why you call me dumb?

My lightweights are

Alvarez/ bellator champ

Melendez/ strikeforce champ

Penn/ former ufc champ

Edgar/current ufc champ

Kawajiri/ soon to be dream champ

you have penn ahead of edgar?

and you really think Kawajiri will beat Aoki?

Exactly' date=' if you get the top spot by default Eddie Alvarez would be the #1 Lightweight by now[/quote']

I personally would Rank Melendez the #1 LW in the world right now. Prior to fighting him the conversation was Aoki or Penn. Penn lost a very close fight and Melendez convincingly beat Aoki.

I believe that Penn was too high on the rankings(#1) and Edgar was too low(#8). Plus I think Penn won that fight but thats just an opinion. I give Edgar all the credit in the world so he should be right there under Penn. If he beats him again then he will be higher.

And yes I going for Kawajiri in that fight

True, when Melendez & Alvarez meet this could determine who is #1 really

1. Brock Lesnar

2. Cain Velasquez

3. Junior Dos Santos

4. Shane Carwin

7. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira <<<<<<<<<<<

8. Alistair Overeem

10. Roy Nelson (no joke' date=' He's legit)[/quote']

Mine is:

1.Brock Lesnar

2.Cain

3.Shane Carwin

4.Alistair

5.Werdum

6.Fedor

7.JDS

8.Mir

9.Roy Nelson

10.Big Nog

Anyone who has Mir above Fedor should be shot in the head

the top 7 HAS to consist of, in no particular order

Fedor

Brock

Werdum

Overeem

Carwin

Cain

JDS

Noone should be ranked above these 7

To GSPover Silva....You have Mir above Fedor, Werdum, and Overeem?

How when Mir got destroyed by 2 of the other HW on your list, and has lost to someone who is really a LHW...Vera, lost to MArcio Cruz, Ian Freeman

Fedor has only lost to WErdum

Werdum beat the person who was ranked #1 in the world

And JDS beat WERDUM

You can put Mir at #8 if you want, but that is the highest

To me, Fedor was #1 and has only lost once, one loss is less than anyone else has on their record

So

#1)Fedor

#2)Werdum

#3)Overeem

#4)Brock

#5)JDS

#6)Carwin

#7)Cain

#8)Mir

#9)Nog

Cain had a tough fight against Kongo and beat a Nog who was made into a can by Mir

Other than that who has he fought? Same with Carwin, a couple of midtalent competitiors and a win against Mir

Thats why they arent as high as somepeople have them

JDS beat Werdum, but WERdum has had alot of tougher fights than JDS and beat Fedor

Brock has only had 6 fights, so he cannot be #1

He has not fought top competition either

Its all a balancing act

Maybe JDS should be higher

Brock is not the best and has not fought the best

the best HW's are.....Cain, Fedor, Werdum, JDS, overeem, and until Brock beats at least one of them he cannot be #1

Id make my rankings like this, because the rankings reflect what you achieve now not what you achieved years ago.

1. Brock Lesnar - he's the champ in the biggest company

2. Allistair Overeem - he is also champ in his respective company

3. Cain Velasquez - number one contender for the UFC title

4. Fabricio Werdum - because he beat Fedor he earned a higher ranking

5. Fedor Emelianenko - Needs to come back and beat a quality oppenent to get higher
