wouldnt it actually be kinda cool if JDS does lose against Big country

there has been rumors that shane carwin gets the loser of that fight, and imo JDS/carwin would be an all around bad **** fight all together

can you imagine how exciting a fight it would be for these 2 beast to go head to head in an almost guaranteed slug fest until one of them lands a brutal Knock Out?

i would be much more excited to see carwin fight JDS then roy nelson, and would almost be more amped to see carwin fight JDS then JDS fight brock

thoughts on this possibilty?

and if this fight does happen, who wins?

How about he just kills Nelson then takes the belt and when it's Carwin's turn at the belt again they fight?

Makes much more sense to me.:P

Yes Sir.

ok thats your opinion...but why would you think that?

just curious?

the only time we've seen carwin get hit was against gonzaga, and 3 solid hits straight to the face and he still won

just wondering, why you would think that?

being a jds fan i do not want to see him lose at all to that ****, however i would luv to see jds vs carwin.......interesting matchup. does shane try to utilize his wrestling at all....honestly i think he has to. all and all i got jds by first round ko/tko via strikes over shane

well obviously the winner of jds/nelson gets winner of lesnar/velasques.

i think the loser of those fights would be cool then we might be able to see a jds/cain fight everyone has been rambling about. it wud make sense. but nelson wud have to beat jds. i think he can 2 btw.

all great responses, but my only question

a lot of people say that brock would take JDS down and nuetralize his stand up

i myself am not sure how JDS would fair against brock, specifically because of the weight difference, and we dont know much about JDS' ground game

he trains with blackhouse so he might be able to pull it off

but, how can people be convinced that JDS wouldnt be able to compete with brock, yet they think he could T/KO carwin?

carwin is a stronger (imo) version of brock, with 100% better stand up, and close, if not better wrestling then brock

he did stop 2 of brock's takedowns before he gassed

plus we've seen he can land a short punch KO and he's good and using the cage to dirty box

so how could JDS have problems with lesanr, but easily beat carwin?

I disagree.

and although i like JDS i dont really see him beating Lesnar because Lesnar will take him down, Carwin on the other will stand and trade leaving an oppritunity for JDS

Alright, about JDS's ground game, it doesn't matter how good it is. Frank Mir, I guarantee, has a MUCH better ground game than JDS, and he weighs more too, but it didn't matter one bit against Brock.

JDS couldn't compete with Brock because Carwin is a bigger, stronger JDS who couldn't put Brock away standing. Take away size and power, and Brock has a gimme fight (Sorry to say, JDS is my second fav. HW). Yet, JDS could TKO Carwin because Carwin wouldn't go for takedowns like Brock, and he would keep it standing the whole fight. Brock would take JDS down at will.

Carwin does not have anywhere near as good of wrestling as Brock, just because of Brock's sheer power and speed. Plus, Carwin doesn't utilize his wrestling, as he would rather keep it standing and KO someone.

thats where i disagree

carwin took neil wain down and pounded him out

and carwin also gassed himself out trying to pound brock out, on the ground

he might have messed up and blew his energy trying to finish brock, but i think if carwin was getting out struck against dos santos, he'd either put JDS on the cage or take him down

he didnt get a 12-0 record being an idiot (well he did get his first loss being an idiot but thats another story:p)

i highly doubt he's a numbskull that will keep the fight in the middle of the octagon if he's getting outstruck

but in all honesty, carwin is my favorite HW, followed by JDS, and i think this would be a KILLEr match up, and possibly the most exciting HW fight we've seen in a while

Well yes, if Carwin was being outstruck, then he would try to take the fight to the ground. But the way JDS strikes, and how fast he is, if Carwin was being outstruck, it would be too late for him to take the fight down. Remember what Gonzaga did to him? And Gonzaga's striking is WAY less potent and crisp than JDS's. JDS would finish that fight in a heartbeat.

On the other hand, if JDS fought Brock, Brock wouldn't wait until he was being outstruck to go for a takedown. Unless Brock looks at round 1 against Carwin and goes, "Hmm.. I think I should get a legit boxing coach in here and solely work on my striking". But I don't see that happening. If it did, however, then look out world, because I honestly believe Brock has every bit of punching power as Carwin, but no where near the technique or the confidence.

I hope Nelson wins..

But i doubt that Nelson will get Lesnar unless he really demolish JDS..

If Nelson wins i see him fighting Carwin and JDS waiting for the looser fo Cain vs Brock..

But it does not really amtter.. There are 4 guys right now in the top of the HW divition which allways has fantastic fights.. Adding nelson to the mix is just making it better..

HW divition will probably be one of the most exiting divtions in 2011 allso:)
